You kidding me?
If it's really like this, then TM is doing right.
Well, at least price is cheaper and more and more people can enjoy higher speeds with lower price.

But the current issue is not every location support 4Mbps.
*
Well, where goes 2M one..no meh?? my area dun have 4M lor...how leh..cannot survive with just 10GB per month, if 40GB still can lor...my average downloads per month is around 25GB only..doh.gif

but the question is, how much will we be capped??

1M - exceed 10GB (from 1M bandwidth will get only 384k???)
4M - exceed 40GB (from 4M bandwidth will get only 512k???)
10M - wait, no limit laugh.gif...but is this for sure??..even now they can't satisfied 4M users...10M how leh?? worth paying RM220 if the service still sux??

*and also, they need to change CS personnel too...those people are truly ignorant fools...doh.gif

whatever it is, nvr trust them at all. Their promises are worse than sh!tty politicians.

we don't have a way to complaint 'bout their act, even via MCMC (as they sleep together, mind you).

well, this is true...10M connection, even 4M still struggling to cope with..doh.gif

Also don't forget, other country pay half price of the 10mb, get the same speed or better.

But then again, it is unlimited. But is it unlimited bandwidth? I don't think so.... Tmnut are very sly in their wording and behind scenes actions doh.gif

Most likely you pay RM 220 for a 10mb with limited monthly bandwidth, and heavily throttled. Cannot use p2p, latency sucks, lots of dead packets.....
*
A very, very high possibilities of happening..even now some of 4M users are being capped at 40kbps...maybe those of you subcribe for 10M package will only get around 4M only...while 4M will get 2M and 1M will get only 512k connections...well, who knows?? mad.gif

TM can always change their T&C.. shakehead.gif

*
well, not all pirates and porno freaks la...some people also need to use some amount of bandwidth to work lor...like mine, always have to receive and send data around 500M per day...must manage la after this...

I think most of you don't realise how little it is to have 20GB or even 40GB per month.
Besides, the package above doesn't even makes any sense. 10Mb/s is priced way too expensive for the average household not to mention that many houses in the nation cannot even support the current streamyx combo packages of 2Mb/s and 4Mb/s. So this will effectively forced all the current users to stay put at 1Mb/s for 10GB? I will rather use 1Mb/s for 160GB (four times slower but four times more data).

The only way i will ever agree to such a data-based plan if the following conditions are met:
1. As the purpose is to be fair to all broadband users, then there CANNOT BE anymore latency issues, slowdown or choked speed. Users should be getting at least 90% speed of what they paid for at ALL TIMES.
2. Internet traffic MUST NOT be filtered or throttled (whether for p2p or otherwise). If i'm already paying for the data, why should TMnet care if i plan to fully utilize what i paid for?
3. Throttled download speed after the monthly quota is met MUST BE reasonable. You don't expect people who pay for 1Mb/s or 4Mb/s packages to settled for just a mere 30kB/s download which is not even enough for surfing especially in a house with few users. Hence a more reasonable figure would be half of what you're paying for (4Mb/s -> 2Mb/s, 1Mb/s -> 512kbps, etc)
4. Monthly quota MUST BE reasonable (at least 100GB for 1Mb/s, 400GB for 4Mb/s, etc) and then we're talking.
5. Current packages price MUST BE reduced. If i'm already paying RM88 for an "unlimited" 1Mb/s packages, why should i continue paying the same amount for something lesser?
*
I agree with the bolded ones...not that i'm disagreeing with 3,4,5...

*see if they can provide us 90% of the speed all the time.. whistling.gif

^ Not true. You can have a 5Mb Downstream and still be capped.
When mine was capped and I complained, they raised my line speed to 3Mb and it was still capped at 50 KB/s. Idiots.

Go and make some noise brows.gif...well,if you are being capped at your port then you are doomed...but i don't think they will capped your port..your acc maybe lor...
