they don't cap based on heavy usage. currently they cap certain area for testing before they officially do fair usage policy.

i have 2 streamyx SOHO, and Office 2.4 P1. My LB only got 2 WAN port. so, i put P1 + 1SOHO. another SOHO as a backup; light usage guess once a month. But since last 2 weeks, they capped on my both account. I conclude they cap speed for my area. I ask neighbor, they also capped to 40Kbps.

I'm looking forward for AMAX Wimax which offer unlimited usage. They just launched in my area.

Yea, at least 20GB for 1Mbps then it's good.
But for 4Mbps and 40GB... Hell yeah..

Why don't they sell bandwidth?
Extra RM10/GB if exceed.

New package. It's confirmed. rclxms.gif

It's f***tards like these that every other people have to suffer.

You want high quality media? Goddamnit go buy instead of downloading it.

All these overuse ended up mid/low end user are suffering now. My connection has been capped at 256kbps, it's still an acceptable speed for non-download task but now I can't access gmail, youtube, or even my radio. People getting capped gets uncapped within 1-2 days but mine already 3 days and they're giving excuse that the connection will only return to normal at 19th Sept so now I have to stop accessing my emails until that time?

No thank to these f***tard downloaders that we're getting capped and having our connection messed up.
*
only 3 days?...

mine capped since 10 August 2009. almost 3 weeks. I have 2 streamyx account. Both capped even one line use only once a month as a backup line.

So which one yours?. I have 2 SOHO accounts for my cybercafe in Gombak. And i have one enterprise 2Mbps at my office in Hotel Maya, Jalan Ampang. All capped to 40Kbps. So, for SOHO and Enterprise both package can be capped.

Wow. What did the manager say initially? Did he/she deny the capping?
*
He didn't deny; because he also can check my package (1Mb), my actual speed (setting) capped 40Kb. he admit it.

my line back to capped this morning. I go back to TMPOINT. BLABLABLABLA. Give Fire, Give Blabalbalbalalalala. And... tm technician came today. he uncapped my speed at RDSLAM at 24048Kbps. Guess what??????? speed still capppppppppped ma. sad.gif
Attached Image

I think there are 2 place our speed were setup.

1 at DSLAM and other 1 at their control center.

after a few minutes, i get back my speed; with 24048Kbps at DSLAM, 1024Kbps at "control center". (even not 1Mb, consider 1Mb lar Streamyx biasa lar..)
