QUOTE
Yeah he told me that they couldn't announce the new MBP's at the Ipad event because they need to make tweaks to OSX for the i3 processors to be compatible(I was asking about the 13" MBP's) and what do you know the event came around and they never announced anything so he was right. Then I had my friend ask him again when the refresh is coming so he said 3/10.

quote taken from a source from the states. reliable? well, you gotta wait. take this with a pinch of salt till then. smile.gif

last years update was minor ..

I think this year will have a major update ..
and I believe the macbook pro will update on this march ..
*
not really minor, faces and places, direct uploads without a need for plugins in iphoto, that was significant, learn to play on garage band, learn to play store, that was all new and major.

Guys, i'm getting a LCD for my MBW, either Dell ST2410 or Samsung 2433BW.
From the dell specification, it stated that suport connectivity for :

CONNECTIVITY
High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
Digital Visual Interface - Digital (DVI-D) with High Definition Content Protection (HDCP)
Video Graphics Array (VGA)

What's the DVI-D thingy? i mean the 'D' word behind. Same as DVI?
So what shud i get the converter? A Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter can ady?

Hehe thanks for advanced.

These models are no way near apple display, they are all TN panel.

All those high spec models use H-IPS panel, HP LP24xxW, Dell UltraShape U2410 (going to get one this week, RM1799 with 3 years advance exchange; you can get RM1200 with 3 months warranty is lowyat.net), Dell U2711, samsung XL series, apple displays of cause, NEC, EIZO & etc

What happen to your DELL after 2 weeks? No warranty?
Then how much you got your HP w2448hc?

@crazyee
Those LCD are expensive laaaa T_T

Btw, is 24" LCD works well wit MBW? hehe. Wont effect anything rite?

i need to wait about 2 weeks for RMA.
but then replace with HP instead.. exact same screen with Snecx uhuh

..the best is still UltraSharp. dat one undeniable lah of course.

U2410 is good for outlooks, price, features monitors.
Quality, chet claim is abit below expectations for H-IPS PANEL.

But it's still the good one! 178/178 viewing angle, I checked YouTube, can instantly see the differences for TN and IPS

conclusion is if we need a 24" .. dont simply go for the cheap one huuhu.
last time ultrasharp was really expensive.. can afford dat time.
