@rheza02,
Minimum 5 days to a week.  If it's a part problem, part needs to be ordered in before anything can be done smile.gif  Best U get it replaced ASAP
*
i worry they will take to fix it over 2 weeks, i need to going overseas in 10 days. sad.gif

@rheza02,
If U don't need ur Mac when you go overseas, it would be advisable to drop it at the Mac Stores when you're away; that way you won't go without a computer for the 1-2 weeks waiting for the parts to get here and for the computer to be repaired biggrin.gif
i hope, i can do that.
i can't live without it. hahahahaha tongue.gif

thanks tinkerbel...

@rheza02,
Am not sure what U mean by take another MBP before U go back.  I plan to place my order within the next few days.  The last time I checked, it would take approximately 3 working days to get it delivered; am not sure about now though.
*

yeah i wanna ask this too, i think i asked bfore but wasn't such a convincing answer..

so if we put our notebook to sleep while battery is max and leave the adapter on, would it have any effects to the macbook or battery?
*
there is no effect for macbook pro, but it will use battery (1>1.5%)/hour.

how abt if my laptop is off..should i leave the AC on??
reason y im asking this,bcoz of the time i will b using at home so do i still need to turn off the AC at nite when im not using it??else it'll b 24/7 on..
*
there is no reason to leave with AC on while your laptop off.

QUOTE(jind86 @ Sep 14 2009, 04:23 PM)
no, i mean if the macbook pro is in sleep mode or turned off, battery is MAX and power is running, will it have any bad effects on the computer or the battery?

basically similar question as th3_glove20 above..
*
no effect. same as above. smile.gif

QUOTE(ginolo @ Sep 14 2009, 04:59 PM)
This is what i want to know also. because the battery cant pull out. not like pc laptop. as i know from past experience, the more you charge, the faster your battery die because of the capacity. just like the rechargeable battery. the more you charge, the faster it consume it lifetime.
*
its different from pc laptop. in apple laptop, if your battery full(100%), you unplug magsafe, use battery to 95%(i'm not sure what %), and plug magsafe again, its doesn't force charge battery to make it 100%. this keep the battery more safe.

Hi all,

What is the difference between the ATA drive and SSD apple offered? 255GB SSD seems to be the most expensive drive, care to explain its advantage please?

Guys, i want to hear out your opinion. My current White Macbook is with Intel GMA 950, bought for RM4000 at Mac Studio few years ago, and i've been considering to trade-in and get the latest version with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M at Mac City for RM3,599 or buy online with Education price for RM3,399.

Is it worth it to change just because of the graphic? Please advise.
*
nope, just keep it. biggrin.gif

I got a Macbook (late 2008 model) battery replacement ticket from AppleCare but no service centers in KL have ready replacement stock. They need to order and replace. Wonder how long does it gonna take....
*
from my experience,
its 2 weeks if you claim that on machines.

what about tell applecare to send the new battery to your home first,
and you send the broken battery to apple ?

its much easier not to talk with machines,
sometime they are too proud.
make us looking like stupid.
