if u believe fully wat notebookcheck's data, u re so being misled...

at the very least, there's quite a lot of anomalies with the data in notebookcheck... once u average it out with the others, it's not accurate...

and also, benchmarks are never fair to AMD CPU, as most of those are purely number crunching only... the advantage of AMD is having much speedier response than Intel CPU, thx to the integrated memory controller, which maximise the bandwidth and lower the latency... in reality, a AMD CPU won't lose out to a T6000...

oh, and also, a 8600M GS GDDR3 and a HD4570 DDR2 both ve abt 3k 3D Mark 06... but of course, HD4570 will edge out, cuz it has a newer architecture to deal with the graphics...

Added on August 11, 2009, 7:28 amnah... for AMD CPU, it's the speed that really matters...

CQ40 has Turion RM74 2.2GHz, which in real like is not much difference compared to Athlon QL64's 2.1GHz... it's not like Intel where Core 2 Duo got full spec, then Pentium got this stripped got that cut... the only difference between Turion and Athlon is the P-state only, which Turion consumes even less power when in sleep mode...

as for the games, well, i looked for those Vista mods to make them work... u can look around the internet for them... it's not that hard to find...

I have some problem with this laptop !

1st of all, when this lappy go into sleep mode, i unable to wake up the lappy , no matter i keep pressing the keyboard, clicking with the mouse, i can hear that the laptop is running, light indicator is on ... but after a long period, it still remain as black screen, so everytime i have to force shut down by pressing the power button n restart again, any idea to solve this issues ?

2nd is the most funny thing i ever meet, so one time i off my lappy n power adapter n went out for dinner. When i came home, i saw the light indicator on the power adapter is on, so i just switch on my lappy n use for half hour, suddenly it just goes off with weird sounds. So when i check back the power adapter, it is actually unplug from the socket, summore, the lappy battery is removed. Luckly my laptop is still able to use. Anyone has idea about this ?? My fren said mayb the power socket can store power ?? is it posible ??

1) typical display driver problem... pretty hard to get around with this especially if u re not using Asus driver...

2) ur adapter too powerful already... still can use as UPS...

To yopp, i experienced 1st problem before. Using vista btw. It happened after i changed bios to dGPU instead of dual gpu(3200 and 4570). Try change back setting to dual gpu, or try reinstall display driver or both

i have the same problem sometimes too, but i guess its a vista issue.

erm, i have experienced your first problem....I deleted the partition installed with my current OS which is Vista then created a new partition, formatted it again and finally install. Then i can wake up the lappie jor lol

just telling what i did to Wake the laptop up haha.

Mine same with u,6.0.1.1550 .......always will have srs Premium Sound error.......after a few restart.

try using the latest via audio drivers, vt1708s i think, thanks to najmods, mine having the same problem last time

Already tried installing the latest via audio driver dled from via website but still having the same problem. Just dl driver sweeper to clear old creative sounds,hopefully it works this time.

lol.. i once tried install it using the installer, it pop out error box stating that cannot find any device, then i install it using device manager which update the driver software and success

im in gombak rite now... helping my frenz to format n install everything in his K40AB...the great thing is here... my laptop have been left idle... without cooling fan, n no air-con... but the temp is all below 60c(around 56-58)...i wonder if i bring the cooling fan,how low the temp can be rite???hehehe... very hepi...

Gombak? SG Which cooler fan that u using? If temperature 56-58, add on cooler fan should be 48-52 like that,
