Yes I have been reading the thread but I seem to get lost in the details. I'm an old XP user and not very up to date with the dealings with vista and I confess it has been a few years since I got a new PC (was even thinking of switching to Mac at one stage).

My main concern is with the Vista to Windows 7 upgrade especially with this laptop. I will fly out of Malaysia in a few weeks and will not be able to be here to receive the upgrade dvd and authorization code for windows 7.

I posted to see if you all had any opinion on the different options.

owh...eemmh...how long u will be out of mlaysia???the reason why im recomend u with seven coz its new, latest, lighter than vista,if u want the win7,u can donload it,n install it without product key... leave it as trial for a while(when u r outstations)....

hey..how comne my device manager stated that my graphic card is hd3200 ???

u'll know when it does...

cuz even if the temp reach the critical point, the laptop already shuts down itself...

errr guys.. my lappy seems to have continuous beeping sound when idle, is there any of you experience the same thing??

What beep? I guessed its just a faint electronic noise or maybe mechanical drive, if that so its normal

I wonder why people are worried with these faint noises, its normal for these thing have noises since it have spinning disks 9harddrive) and other things that makes noises inside, same as PC, no matter how quiet it was there will be a faint noise comes out of the motherboard

dis laptop driver has many problem man ! eventho i am using vista , i still cant able to switch my graphic card using power express..omgnessss..what i hv to do is switch in bios settingzzz...i will not buy ATI product next time /pif !

u sure u use the right driver???

if so many ppl's ones are ok, i dun see y there's a problem...

try installing the GPU drivers in powerxpres mode... did u install ATK thing OSD.... then after that..try restart it...

for the speaker volume, you will have to tweak the settings in HD Vdeck too. max the volume.

hmm..my problem solved dy >.< what i did is uninstall all the driver and clean the driver Then install catalyst 8.12 and mod it ..Now i can change graphic card using power express ^^

see?solved right???no senses to get angry..there have to be ways to solve ur problems earlier.. there no nid to banned AMD/ATI for ur whole life...

but one thing quite weird .. if i install official catalyst without modding it .. my lappy wont detect my 4570..

Hi, I am K50AB user. I am facing a problem with the Audio driver/hardware...
Sometimes, the Audio device is not functioned when I start OS (VHP). It stated that "No Audio device is installed". I need to restart my Windows to detect it. This problem occurred quite a few time already...
My question is how to fix this problem?? Is it something wrong with the driver or hardware? Is anyone of you facing the same problem?

download the latest version of VIA from via website..VT1708s This might solve ur problem..
