QUOTE(tenno @ Mar 16 2010, 12:33 PM)
Well, for one, it looks a lot like Polar, down to the HR transmitter. Maybe it was OEM by Polar. At first I thought there was no stride & HR sensor, how can it detect pace, stride rate & HR without those sensors... after further reading, it does include those sensors. But, if it's around RM500 & it includes stride rate calculations, I guess it's a good bargain. I think Polar's lowest end model with stride rate/cadence is RS400s.. & tht's over a grand edi. & if Adidas can make 'em user-friendly enuff, I guess it will apply to a wider spectrum of runners. Polar sometimes can be a bit complicated to use.

Added on March 16, 2010, 12:49 pmOn another note, the RM500 price might be for the micoach Zone, which consists of the wrist unit (no display) & the HR transmitter. It can only show U which HR zone Ur currently in, how many calories burned & thts all. If tht's the case then it might not be that useful actually. The suggested retail for the micoach Gear (with stride sensor) is USD139, definitely more than RM500 la...
*
The retail price of the Pacer (The HRM + Stride sensor + Pacer) - RM519.90 (this is good price) - If buy from US139 x RM3.3 = RM 458.

Zone (wrist unit displaying colour to indicate heartbeat) - RM269.90 (i think don't need this one)

If I were to get the bib, can I participate in the run ? Sorry never have experience in participating any marathon before, running just to keep fit and lose weight blush.gif

I usually run in Taman Tasik Permaisuri every Mon,Wed and Fri, doing HiiT for the past two months. Anyone from here running at the same place too ?

My bib is for 10km run. Not full marathon.

With the bib, you can run officially. collect medal is you finish strong. And also to get completion certificate.

PM me if interested. 1st RM20 to get the bib. Registration fee is RM60. I am keeping vest and others.

Sports Injury!

I have this slight pain on my right foot near the toes. It's been there for almost a week. I feel the pain every time i push off with my right foot. I believe it's just muscle pain because if I press on it hard, it hurts. If I just rub around the area, there's no pain. My question is, should I use ice or heat???

I bought this ice/heat pack at a local pharmacy. The pharmacist said to use heat. But a runner friend of mine who has been in and out of sports injuries asked me to use cold.

hi, is there anyone wanting a half marathon bib to trade for a 10k for the energizer night race this saturday? pls pm me.

I signed up for the half, thinking that I'll have enough time to train but it appears I underestimated how time consuming it is to take care of a 2 month old newborn smile.gif
