@maxcheam,
According to my Maxis Insider, the RM99 unlimited p/month is capped at 3GB.

oK.  I know what U mean by MultiSIM-1-Line now.  Yes I believe U can use this service with the plan too biggrin.gif  3GB is considerable a lot if you don't use it to download movies and TV series.

*
Thanks a lot, tickerbel. I will just wait and see or perhaps just get the iPhone3GS via the prepaid plan just to avoid my existing plans being messed up. 3GB is easily reached especially if you're hardcore YouTube users who only watch at high quality. biggrin.gif

hmm.. i did ask about the multisim for 1 single number in maxis center.. but the gal at the counter told me it is not supported in iphone 3gs.. and don't let me apply.. i wonder how true is this..
*
I did the same thing at Maxis Center in Queensbay Mall. the guy said can't guarantee it will work. I even offer my current MultiSIM-1-Line SIM card that I'm using. They resists to let me try it on their demo unit. vmad.gif

i think regardless of what plan u're signing up.. it doesn't matter if u're using MultiSIM or not.. they just get u another SIM for the same line..

too bad u can't receive incoming call from that secondary MultiSIM.. sad.gif
*
Yes, you can. But only 1 SIM can be active at any one time. The MultiSIM-1-Line SIM cards come with pre-saved speed dials to check which SIM card is active as well as to set the current SIM to be the active one. You can change it anytime you want to receive calls. Check their website for more info.

And you know what's very good about it? You just need to subscribe the unlimited RM99/month once on your line and all SIM cards can enjoy it. You can get connected concurrently. For example, you can browse via USB modem on your laptop while checking email on your Blackberry and checking out Google Maps on your iPhone. There are more scenarios that you can't even imagine. whistling.gif

Thanks for the feedback. But the information is not sufficient. I also know first page got.

Anyone have any idea on the months of installment and is there any processing fee for the 0%.

Is the Family Plans same as Family Plus Plan (currently using Value 80 + Family Plus (3 lines)?

As for the Free Calls between Family Plan counted in the Free SMS (100SMS)/ Free local calls (333min)? <--- This important. Else it wouldn't be call free.

Cause ** Terms & conditions of Family Plan apply.

Hey guys, I'm a little confused about the new iValue plans.

Is the Free 100 SMS and 10 MMS between main and sup lines or to other networks as well? If not, can I change my booking plan from iValue to iData + Value Plus or something else?

still awaiting news from tinkerbel's Maxis CS side. anyway here's my guess,

the Free 100 SMS and MMS is for your line to other Maxis numbers only.

while regarding free calls/SMS between your iValue line and supplementary lines (s) under Family Plan, it will be:

# Voice and video calls are FREE up to 15 hours.
# SMS is FREE up to 1500 SMS.

(since Maxis did not state any info on that, my bet is it will be according to what current Value Plan users enjoy with their Family Plan supplementary lines)

@ChillyPepper:
you can switch to different plans when you collect your unit.

Just a update for those of you who got the phone with hotlink plan on saturday and still haven't received the free 500MB data SMS.

I just called up the customer service (after 24 hours since my last report) and they said that they will only activate it on working days. If by noon tomorrow there is still no activation of the 500MB free data you can call back customer service about it.

So far I am lucky that the iPhone never try to connect the internet even though I did accidentally ter-clicked on Safari and Mail. Lucky 1U have free WiFi, other big mall should really do that..

@Teikwing:

Thanks for your reply. I hope Tinkerbel can clarify this matter. Most of my friends are from other networks, so I think I'd get a better deal from Value Plus + iData if the free 100 SMSes are from Maxis to Maxis only. Do you think that this deal is better if I SMS more to friends using other networks?

i'm not sure about other banks but i'm pretty sure Maybank's debit card is not allowed for installments purposes. for installment plans, it's advisable to use a credit card.

@oerdri5:

if you still haven't receive it until now, call up Maxis CS. normally, the confirmation SMS should be receive within the first few hours (that's in my case).

@NutterButters:

from the first page:
minimum top up of RM10 per year is only valid for Hotlink Youth Club subscribers.

For normal Hotlink users, subscribe to Hotlink 365 and pay RM63 to maintain validity (ie. active) of the line.

Just confirmed by calling xustomer service:

Last week I bought a sim pack $8.80 from Maxis. And I went back to Maxis to confirmed the 500mb they told me I am not registered so I called machines they told me its Maxis fault. 2 Parties blaming each other so I called customer to clarified here the answer:

For those who bought the phone from machines you will not be entitled the 500mb free every month.

Only those eligible - if you purchased the phone directly from Maxis you will be entitled 500mb.

What a double standard- those who purchased from machines will be short changed just like me.

Strange, I bought a 3GS from Switch Mines, Sunday noon, with a new Hotlink card. When I eventually put in the card about 3 hours later and activated the phone, I received the 500mb sms almost immediately.

Thanks teikwing. Still not sure the Family Plan for sup follows which plan, Family Plus or Family 30 (Very big different, family plus follow principle line charges.)

Called the Customer Service.
I got my iPhone thru Machines, so that CS said 500mb only entitled to phones purchased from Maxis Centres.

I told him it was never stated in their terms and conditions otherwise I would have got it from Maxis Centre instead. In the end, that CS said he will escalate this to their technical, and they will set it up for me or something. So now waiting for them to get back to me.

Yeah, 1 300 82 0120. called again for the THIRD time. Every time I have to explain what is my situation then ask me to wait some more. One more call like that I am considering abandon the hotlink completely and go back to DiGi + Unlimited Data.

@Cainz:
do post an update here once Maxis has authorized the 500mb data bundle. would serve as guide for those who got theirs from Machines but unable to obtain the data bundle stated in the plan.

@Snappit, cengkadad:
i believe it was due to the limited stocks Maxis has currently and priority is given to those who had pre-booked earlier.

This is one question that put me on hold to get the iPhone. I asked the sales person in Sunway Pyramid how this works. he said that 100SMS and MMS is to maxis numbers (non-fam applicable) while if you msg to other network you'll get charge 10 cent per sms.

I then asked him so that means I would have to pay on top of the RM100 (referring to iValue plan 1) and he answered yes.

I sent an email to maxis too now waiting for reply

IMHO if like that right, I think it is ripping off people's pocket lor. Like seriously...
