hi all,

I'm not sure if these have been asked before but here goes:
1. Can we sign up for Maxis Mobile Internet (RM99/month) on top of the iValue Plans?
2. Can we use MultiSIM-1-Line service on top of the iValue Plans?

Thanks in advance.

@maxcheam,
1.  Yes U can sign up for Unlimited RM99 p/month over and above the iValue plans but U should have sufficient to use with the iValue plans, no?

2. Am not quite sure what this MultiSIM-1-Line service is - what does it do? smile.gif

thanks for your response, tinkerbel.

Is it really is unlimited for RM99/month or it's like the iData plan with limit up to 3GB?

I won't have enough if I couple it with MultiSIM-1-Line as this allows me to use multiple devices using the same Maxis number, every additional SIM card is RM15/month. For example, USB modem, backup phone, iPhone 3GS, etc. The service allows us to connect to the Internet via GPRS, EDGE, 3G or HSDPA on your devices concurrently. Click here for more info on the service.

I'm currently using ValuePlan80 with 3 other SIM cards with the unlimited Maxis Mobile Internet (RM99/month).

even the RM99 unlimited data plan is capped at 3GB/month.

Thanks for your feedback. But are you sure? I'm currently using the unlimited Maxis Mobile Internet (RM99/month) on top of my Value Plus 80 plan. I'm sure I use more than 3GB every month. tongue.gif

@maxcheam,
According to my Maxis Insider, the RM99 unlimited p/month is capped at 3GB.

oK.  I know what U mean by MultiSIM-1-Line now.  Yes I believe U can use this service with the plan too biggrin.gif  3GB is considerable a lot if you don't use it to download movies and TV series.

Thanks a lot, tickerbel. I will just wait and see or perhaps just get the iPhone3GS via the prepaid plan just to avoid my existing plans being messed up. 3GB is easily reached especially if you're hardcore YouTube users who only watch at high quality. biggrin.gif

hmm.. i did ask about the multisim for 1 single number in maxis center.. but the gal at the counter told me it is not supported in iphone 3gs.. and don't let me apply.. i wonder how true is this..

I did the same thing at Maxis Center in Queensbay Mall. the guy said can't guarantee it will work. I even offer my current MultiSIM-1-Line SIM card that I'm using. They resists to let me try it on their demo unit. vmad.gif

i think regardless of what plan u're signing up.. it doesn't matter if u're using MultiSIM or not.. they just get u another SIM for the same line..

too bad u can't receive incoming call from that secondary MultiSIM.. sad.gif
*
Yes, you can. But only 1 SIM can be active at any one time. The MultiSIM-1-Line SIM cards come with pre-saved speed dials to check which SIM card is active as well as to set the current SIM to be the active one. You can change it anytime you want to receive calls. Check their website for more info.

And you know what's very good about it? You just need to subscribe the unlimited RM99/month once on your line and all SIM cards can enjoy it. You can get connected concurrently. For example, you can browse via USB modem on your laptop while checking email on your Blackberry and checking out Google Maps on your iPhone. There are more scenarios that you can't even imagine. whistling.gif

I'm planning to use the secondary SIM on my SE phone and primary on iPhone.. means i can have only either SIM to receive call at one time?
*
yes, only the active SIM can receive calls/SMSes.
