the new ivalue plan is out at http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone3gs/rateplan1.asp

but what does this mean?

*** Prepayment of monthly fee is required for iValue 1, 2, 3 & 4 which will be credited equally over your first 5 months.

Prepayment of monthly fee are as follows:

• iValue 1 at RM400 for 24 months and RM200 for 12 months
• iValue 2 at RM620 for 24 months and RM200 for 12 months
• iValue 3 at RM1250 for 24 months and RM500 for 12 months
• iValue 4 at RM1500 for 24 months and RM1000 for 12 months for iPhone 3G
and RM2000 for 24 months and RM1000 for 12 months for iPhone 3GS.

@NXaqua,
If Ur currently on the RM99 Unlimited plan and intend to continue using it, Y don't U just cancel it and sign up under iData 3?  That way everything remains the same for U and U get RM500 off the i3GS for a 12 month contract.  If U are oredi on iValue plan and have 500MB with ur existing line, I don't think U need to subscribe to the RM99 Unlimited plan.  Sorry I don't quite understand your situation so advise may be a little off tongue.gif

@crazy25kid,
It will be pro-rated and will start when U activate the SIM card with the i3GS.  In ur example, it will be until 19th of next month; it follows a bill cycle.

Hi tinkerbel,

Thanks for your advise,and...nope,it is neither a little nor lot off.

Actually you were right to say that I am on iValue 100 for 12 mths contract period And I have just terminated the RM99 as I noted the 500MB is more than sufficient.

Thanks,again there.

@avars:
you're required to pay prepayment fees for your bill according to the iValue plan you're subscribing to.

eg. iValue 1, 12 months contract, prepayment of RM200.
RM200 / 5 months = RM40

RM40 will be credited each month into your bill. thus, you will only need to pay RM60 for the first 5 months, rather than RM100 each month originally. (assuming you stay within the given free calls & SMS)

Hi
i just want to ask... contrary to above ([cool.gif- now with free SMS & MMS to Maxis users), on-net and off-net means Maxis and non-Maxis call is it?

From Rate Plan Terms & Conditions
2 The minutes of usage included in iValue Plans applies to on-net and off-net domestic voice calls only.

Or Maxis just rushed to change the iValue plan without changing the Terms and Conditions.

should be peak and off-peak hours. domestic calls means it cover calls made to any mobile network or landline (yes, Maxis and non-Maxis). the T&C remain unchanged from the previous one. smile.gif

thanks @teikwing.

Then which of the supplementary line can i add to this?
Value Plus Family or Family Plus 30?

Correct me if i'm wrong, if i get the new iValue plan, plus the supplementary, then my monthly bill will be rm130...n i can get free calls n sms between family. The bundled free 333 min, 100 sms and 10 mms is applicable for all maxis and non-maxis is it?

thanks

i'm not too sure about that but i guess both? the only difference between both are the call rates as you can see from http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/mobile/pl...icing/index.asp

yes, the bolded statement is correct. but the free SMS/MMS is only applicable for SMS/MMS sent to Maxis users, IINM. smile.gif

ok. tried to call maxis 123, but it's engaged.
I got another source of info from http://www.lowyat.net/v2/latest/iphone-3gs...launched-2.html

The 4 Maxis iValue plans have been revised and customers can now send free SMS and MMS between Maxis lines while calls between family lines locally are free as well. These new additional offers are already available for existing iValue customers

thanks for trying to give info. I guess maxis ain't so generous in the plans.

@cybpsych,
Pls refer to Post #1 for information on instalment plans but chances are Maxis won't do instalment plans for prepaid/outright purchases; no harm checking though.

@D.Sync,
If you're a student, sign up for Hotlink Youth.  Use that prepaid SIM to get the i3GS (U won't be able to get a discount off the i3GS phone price) but U will be entitled FOC 500MB data each month for 12 months.

IMO that's the best plan for U.

thx tinkerbel!

looks like the T&C of easy payment only applicalbe for iValue plans (dammit!)

@doomx:

1. assuming you're getting your phone through Maxis, 16GB iPhone 3GS, RM1990.

you'll be able to pay the RM1990 in monthly instalments with 0% interest. (not too sure regarding the maximum tenure, eg. 6, 12 or 24 months )

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. iValue 1, monthly commitment = RM100

you must pay RM400 in advance for your iValue monthly subscription, when you collect your phone. the amount will be credited back into your account equally in 5 months (or RM80 per month).

for example,

August: iValue subscription RM100 - RM80 (advance payment credited back) = RM20 (what you're be required to pay for the month)
September: iValue subscription RM100 - RM80 (advance payment credited back) = RM20 (what you're be required to pay for the month)
......................and so on.

this RM80 will be credited back to you per month for the next 3 months (Oct, Nov & Dec). only after then, you'll be required to pay RM100 per month for iValue 1.

hope you get what i mean. smile.gif
