Hi guys, I'm currently a supplementary under my mom, and I intend to break out of this account and be my own principal (and get Value Plus 50 and Idata2) and my gf will be a supplementary.

Question is, will I need to bring my mom along with me to cancel and change the lines? A bit ma fan right?

i thought is about the same that maxis offer to public...e.g. RM1290 for 16gb 3gs monthly commitment for them offer us is 99+50 = RM145.
To public is RM1290 for 16bg 3gs then monthly commitment is RM155 for ivalue 2....

Mean only RM10 diff for monthly charges for 24 month...

Further more, we can collect the device on the spot when signing up

anyone tried iData 1 plan to get Iphone 3Gs 32GB?
I did ask a Maxis Exclusive Partner. they told me to ask until month end, coz no stock at the moment? is it possible?

Worth to take if you need to online and uses a lot of data when you are online with iPhone. Otherwise, you can reduce the amount by going for iData plan 2 and 3 to save more on the monthly commitment fee payable to Maxis.


There's a difference in the data volume allowance. One is unlimited and another is 1GB only.

When you buy the phone and packages. Make sure they double check them. And call them after a few days. I just got my phone barred and here's how it happen

I bought my phone right from the roadshow. just 2 months back I got the 8GB 3G with iData2 which you all know the price 500MB for Rm50 I expected them to tie my iData together with my value plus plan

but I got barred today and I was curious and went to check my unbilled amount RM273 which is not possible since my value plus is also Rm50 which if correctly use is RM100 flat

I had a very long session with the maxis people over the phone they say I dun have idata tie to my account... like WHAT??????????? and thus my usage is very based on my data usage which only amounts to 300mb


I say that's not possible. But they refuse to barge down until my statement comes out which it hasn't and tell me that minimum 3 days to unbar my phone.

This is too much. I am not going to pay a sen till it make sense.

When U collect ur iPhone you're supposed to sign a proper contract with Maxis; did U sign on that? Also, that's when ur phone plan will start to be activated. Am not sure what happened on ur side; maybe go back to the shop where U got ur phone activated.

i tot need to wait at least a month to get iphone 3gs?

yes, can collect on the spot...they have reserve alot unit for us...i can saw all the stock there...

Added on October 22, 2009, 1:18 ambut currently i am using family value plus 80..if plus idata 50..total monthly commitment is RM130.if compare with RM145, is only RM15 different....i am so blur now...dunno which is more worth it...and if i go for idata RM50, i need to bought iphone at RM1990 monthly commit RM135, while for my company business plan is RM1290 monthly commit RM145...

Ask urself if u really want to sign on a 24 month contract. 12 month is probably ok but 24 months? I personally find that a lil too long.
