so i would like to suggest value plan 50 + idata2 = RM100.

Reason: Cheaper call rate n bundled with sms too, even though the revised ivalue also includes sms but i think its only for maxis to maxis

hmm.. actually i was planing to get a iphone 3gs from maxis as well but i was wondering can i just get 1 month idata 1 and purchase a iphone separately? since

because i asked maxis staff they told me can't buy prepaid plan iphone ad since it is cut off by maxis.. so i was wondering this idea can be use?

besides this, idata 1 iphone can use installment?

no need periodic sms la, just one is enough to say today is a new month. even Digi give you an sms after every call to let you know how much was the last call and your balance

Hey guys, just wanted to ask.. I prebooked with a 24 month Ivalue 1 plan. when the time comes for me to collect my iphone, can i still tell them I want to change the plan? maybe to 12 months instead?

I asked the maxis salesgirl the other day she said thats to all networks so long as local calls. the only thing to note is that the free sms is only to maxis and NOT to other networks..

Yesterday i went to Maxis Center at the Gardens planning to subscribe for the ivalue 100 plan for 24 months to get the 3gs 16gb.

But then they told me that i'm not entitled for 24months contract because my number is 016 instead of 012. When i asked why, they just told me that this policy is directed by "MCMC" and they can't even answer the "why" no matter how many times and who i asked  . I'm a maxis customer, but not entitled for the plans being advertised for maxis customers.

Now i'm stuck with whether getting the 12 months contract with my current phone number(which i have to scoop and extra rm400 out for the 3gs 16gb) or get a new number to subscribe for the 24 months contract.

Anyone experienced this case before? pls share

I've contacted Maxis and they have told me that as long the number is not originally a Maxis number, then I cant sign up for the 24 month contract. Even if i convert to Value 50 plan first then order my iphone, also cannot. And no matter how long ago you have converted a digi/celcom number to Maxis also cannot. Only way is to get a new number which is really troublesome because all my contacts and official matters are registered with my current number. Headache

Moving from iValue 1 to iData 2 huh?! Even if they allow you to move, you'll have to probably pay somewhat of charges.  Plus there's a bigger chance of moving plans if you're upgrading ur plan but in your case, Maxis will probably see it as a downgrade of plan since your monthly commitment to them is now reduced.

iData 2 is not a call plan.  You need it with another plan be it any of the ValuePlus plans or the Standard plan.  Y do U wanna change btw?

Hello all. I intend to purchase an iPhone 3GS 16GB. But I don't wish to subscribe to any voice contract since I have has DiGi prepaid line. Is there any place where I can purchase with Hotlink prepaid package. If not, can I subscribe to iData 2, 12 months only without any voice contract? I could see in Maxis website saying that iData can be purchased separately but iPhone price will be at RRP. Many thanks in advance.

i thought is about the same that maxis offer to public...e.g. RM1290 for 16gb 3gs monthly commitment for them offer us is 99+50 = RM145.
To public is RM1290 for 16bg 3gs then monthly commitment is RM155 for ivalue 2....

Mean only RM10 diff for monthly charges for 24 month...

Further more, we can collect the device on the spot when signing up

When you buy the phone and packages. Make sure they double check them. And call them after a few days. I just got my phone barred and here's how it happen

I bought my phone right from the roadshow. just 2 months back I got the 8GB 3G with iData2 which you all know the price 500MB for Rm50 I expected them to tie my iData together with my value plus plan

but I got barred today and I was curious and went to check my unbilled amount RM273 which is not possible since my value plus is also Rm50 which if correctly use is RM100 flat

I had a very long session with the maxis people over the phone they say I dun have idata tie to my account... like WHAT??????????? and thus my usage is very based on my data usage which only amounts to 300mb
I say that's not possible. But they refuse to barge down until my statement comes out which it hasn't and tell me that minimum 3 days to unbar my phone.

This is too much. I am not going to pay a sen till it make sense.

why others people selling so expensive ?

1. anyone familiar with maxis call plan charges please help me here. I'm subscribing to value plus 50, i found that every month there is an item Usage Charges which cost me around RM15.  i thought there would only be extra usage charges when we called more than RM50. i'm pretty sure i didn't make call or sms more than rm50. so whats this usage charge for?

2. there is another plan in maxis Value First RM30 per month, i want to downgrade to this plan, but am i bonded to value plus RM50 contract? can i change plan without penalty?

Has anyone noticed recently that Maxis's network is dodgy? Here's what I mean:

1. When in a busy area but 3G signal at its maximum, sometimes voice quality degrades to robotic high pitch noises.
2. You misses calls when you're accessing 3G data.
3. 3G data rate is crazily slow or doesn't respond at all even with 3G signal at its maximum

Places I've been with the above issues: Sri Petaling, KLCC, Midvalley and Pavilion. Please tell me my phone is faulty.
