which one is more budget saving,
whether i subscribe value plus 50+ iData 50.
or juz iValue 1?
but plus 50 is  RM0.12/minute and 0.05/sms
while iValue is RM0.15/m and 0.10/sms...
*
this question has been discussed previously. do read up.

if your monthly usage is more on calls than SMS, and looking to pay lesser upfront for iPhone, get iValue.

if you're looking to have benefits such as credit sharing with supplementary lines, lower call rates, SMS included in monthly usage instead of separate billing, doesn't mind to pay lil' bit more upfront for the phone, get iData.

normally, it's advisable to get Value Plan + iData if you're a normal usage with balanced usage of calls and SMS.

@Mr Kong,
Yes. The 500MB data is just not transferable to another SIM but not limited to usage on just the iPhone. There is also no need to start another topic on this. Will be merging this with the The Official Thread for Maxis iPhone 3G/3GS thread.

@Mr Kong,
There is really no way for Maxis to determine how much of the 500MB was used on an iPhone or any other phones for the matter. AFAIK they can only track total usage; hence in theory U should be able to utilise the 500MB data on a BlackBerry or Nokia, or any other handset.

I want to buy Iphone 3Gs using prepaid package,
before this I heard that maxis have suspended
this package until further notice.
Recently i heard that maxis will re-open
back the prepaid package on 9th Sept,
i really hope so coz to subscribe ivalue 100
is quite pain in the ass for me as a private
university student.

@darksterz,
I believe Maxis suspended the pre booking for Hotlink users onli because they wanted to give preference and priority to their current subscribers. As soon as new stocks arrive, I'm sure Maxis will re open selling the i3GS on an outright prepaid basis biggrin.gif

@darksterz,
U'll never want the i3GS forever. Come Jun/Jul 2010 U'll be wanting the new iPhone that's gonna be launched *smiles*

@jags,
No one can answer ur question; also we don't have any Maxis personnel here; we just try to provide as much information as we can. Anyhow, it seems from reports the i3GS stocks are arriving on a "scattered" basis. U could contact the centre in which U placed ur order to check availability of ur i3GS.

just wanna clarify with the 3g stuff

i do believe i got charge of 1-2sen and i am using the hotlink plan which free 500mb permonth for a year...now i try to activate the 3g by calling *136# to get the 3g sms to say i am activate...so now there is a question of

does 3g related to the cellular network stuff?
the username and password stuff which are unet and maxis..or this is only related to edge? if i change the unet to unet9 inorder to close my edge will this effect my 3g? and the charging part which makes me dun understand it....1-2sen rate...am i using 3g or edge? do edge charges?

terms like edge, 3G and HSDPA are only used to describe the speed.

hence to answer your question, of course edge will incur charges as there is an influx and outflow of data into your device.

self explanatory, even for gprs i guess?

Depends how often do you makes oversea calls. the plan is only entitled for local calls only. I've asked them this as well. They recommend me to subscribe Idata RM 99 plan instead of taking Ivalue plan. However, it is also based on your preference or usage. Althought , i did make oversea calls but i'm still heavy on local calls as well. So i still stick back with Ivalue 3.
