ask wanna... i sign up ivalue 1, it has free local call 333min and call rate is 0.15/min, assuming all the no. i call is maxis to maxis, which means they free RM49.95 each month.

my question is will they deduct the RM49.95 to my total usage? or they will only plus the my usage with my monthly commitment fee?

currently i'm using iValue 1, still confused by the maxis operators, so i decide to post my problem here so that guys can help me out

1st operator told me that if my usage din exceed RM100, maxis will waiver all the usage charge and only charge me monthly commitment fee. If exceed RM100, maxis will waive the commitment fee and only charge the total usage.

call usage<RM100 ---> Commitment fee - Discount&rebates = total bill
Call Usage> RM100 ----> Total call usage - Discount & rebates = total bill

2nd operator told me that if usage din exceed RM100, maxis will charge commitment fee + total usage - discount equal to my total bill. If exceed RM100 maxis will waive the commitment fee and charge the total usage.

Call usage<RM100 -----> commitment fee + total usage - Discount&Rebates = total bill
Call Usage > RM100 -----> Total Usage - Discount&Rebates = Total bill

If the the 2nd operator is correct.... then if i use more than RM100 i'll pay less. Is it make sense?

I've called up Maxis and it appears that the operator told me the same as what the first what had told you. I did mentioned about your case but the operator says that he can't do anything unless he talks to you and look into your case.

changed my mind as I analyzed acid's statement of account.

it seems that for usage below your monthly commitment, there won't be any rebates as any remaining airtime can't be carried forward.

but for usage exceeding monthly commitment such as acid's, I noticed he was given a rebate for UNUSED free SMS? assuming he's on the newer iValue 1 package (which gives 100 free SMS), he only sent 21 SMS that month and got rebated for 79 SMS which amounts to rm7.90.

this means that we can disregard the equations given by both operators, and figure out the actual question instead.

are unused amounts only rebated to usage above the commitment fee?
i did updated my last statement.. the 2nd operator called up to me and clarify it... no matter what, maxis will calculated in this way:
commitment+total usage-discount = total bill

oh ya.. now only i realised maxis only discount 7.90 for my SMS, suppose is rm10 no matter wat... thanks bro!
anyone can share their bill at here??

i think i'll call up maxis again.. will ask again to clarify everything...

alright, juz called maxis to re-clarify. For iValue plan, call charge and data charge calculation are separately(let say iValue1) each of these giving RM50 rebate. So if ur domestic call charge is RM60, they will deduct RM50 meaning u got additional pay RM10 call charge. Same goes to data usage, if u use less then 500MB, they will deduct RM50 for data so it will be Zero. But bear in mind, maxis is charge: Commitment fee+usage - discount = total bill... so in this case above you have to pay RM110 plus some services charges

So for the SMS rebates, for iValue 1 maxis offer 100 SMS juz for maxis to maxis sms only per month. So if u spend 30 sms to maxis and remaining to other local operator services, in the end maxis only rebate the free sms just for that 30 sms, meaning u can only see u got deducted RM3.00 for sms rebate only in your bill (iValue 1)

Alright.. hopefully this call free out your mind.... although i feel that the plan is vr expensive. hopefully maxis can come up more interesting plan next time and also improve their customer service
