QUOTE(teikwing @ Aug 23 2009, 01:04 AM) it's still possible for installment even if you're buying at RRP (ie. outright). but you'll have to deal with your CC's bank rather than Maxis/Machines. there might be some additional surcharge on top of the RRP. so the 0% installment is not applicable?

QUOTE(kudapowerr @ Aug 23 2009, 07:38 AM) ive read that some ppl that buy the iphone with contract get charged for the data they used altho there is the free 500mb, 1gb and so on. how to avoid this? do i need to wait a certain period of time before i start using the internet. im on ivalue2, 1gb. Try calling Maxis up and see if your data plan has been activated.

@Darkmage12: installment is applicable for outright purchases but there might or might not be additional surcharge. consult your bank's CC customer service.
@hussain: there should be stocks for 3G.

I still kinda confuse with the plan. The iValue plan doesnt cover calls to other operator and SMS to other operator?

@Blast_Cyrus, It does. Basically, RM50 is meant for ur calls and RM50 for data charges. Anything over and above it U pay extra. SMS is separate.

@Blast_Cyrus, It covers up to RM50 of calls; based on ur call rate so it should cover Maxis to other operators too.

@Blast_Cyrus, Ask urself what ur usage/utilisation is like. None of us can tell U the best plan to subscribe to.
@CrossFirE, Price information is on Post #1. U can always purchase the phone via the Hotlink package. That's contract-free and almost hassle free.

hotlink purchases are subject to stock level and availability.

Maxis updated their website today. No more Unlimited Data plan at RM99. Capped at 3Gb per month for RM88. No need to argue anymore on whether it's capped or unlimited
