I don't think so. Because the website says its RM2990 for a 32gb one. So I suppose its to come with a pre-paid simcard.

Even if minus RM500, it would be RM2490 for the phone and pre-paid simcard.

Well i also received the rm500 rebate card. But i hv bought the 3gs alrd. so can i claim the rebate or do o have to buy a new 3gs again?

Since U haven't collected ur i3GS (or haf U?!), maybe can check if U can get the RM500 rebate when U make the collection. Damn... I would love to have used this RM500 rebate instead of signing up on a 12 month contract, which I did!

Y don't U give Maxis a call and check if you're entitled the rebate? It should still be given to the early adopters, at least IMO.

Nope, I'm still waiting for my unit that doesn't seem to be arriving.

I cant use it because its only for non contract phones if I'm not mistaken. I wouldnt mind passing you that RM500 rebate to get another phone.

I just back from KLCC maxis to ask about my i3gs...Now already have 4th batch....Every name list of the batch about 3-5 pages and full of name....The 4th batch is until 4 of august....I booked mine at 12th august...He say need to wait the sms from maxis only able to collect the phone....The maxis will sms you to collect the phone when the name list is out....So sad he say that i have to wait for their sms may be next month...

Because i m digi prepaid user....They call me to change to hotlink first then at the collection day change to ivalue plan....They say if i change my digi prepaid straight to ivalue at the collection day, i will get problem to get my phone at the day...And may be need back again to collect the phone after my ivalue sim card active....Any port in customer change their digi prepaid to the ivalue plan when the collection day and same situation with me?

My 2nd batch one also still not here yet. Been waiting since late July till now.

I received an invitation letter from Maxis too and I made my booking last Sunday. Here are the details of the invitation/rebate:
- purchase the iPhone 3GS 16/32GB outright
- no contract involved, stick back to your current iValue plan
- no deposit required for booking
- RM500 cannot be deducted from RRP.
- Pay full RRP price but the RM500 will be credited to your account over 5 months
- 1 month waiting time or less (they will sms/call for collection, but if more than 1 month just show up to collect)*

I don't know about the last point but the personnel who served me told me in a very consistent voice that if I receive no calls in one month time, I can show up to collect it. Seems to me they have stock but aren't releasing it. Just reserved for potential 'profitable' customers.

good news everyone..

i just came back from maxis centre the gardens.. at first, my purpose to maxis centre is to check my collection date.. when i reached there, like usual, press for numbers and wait until you get serve.. i bring along my receipt and tell the staff that im here to collect my iphone (booked mine on 1st of Aug and never receive any sms from them).. the staff took my receipt and look for my phone.. waited for 5 mins and the staff came out with a list of names.. surprisingly my name is not in the list!! however the staff double check the list to confirm my booking and he couldn't found my name neither.. he asked me to wait for 20mins and then another staff came out with my iphone.. woahh.. i can tell you that i was damn relieve at that moment !! after that, the staff proceed with the usual procedure.. i heard 1 of the staff ask who issue the phone to me since my name is not in the 4th batch list.. but luckily the senior staff told them he's the 1 who issue.. thumbs up to the senior staff for 1st come 1st serve basis.. after all the agreements and procedures, i went home happily with my new baby.. haha..

last but not least.. when i look at their 4th batch list, i saw those who made their bookings before 10th Aug is already available for collection.. for those who haven receive any sms or emails or calls from maxis gardens, i think you guys can just go to the maxis centre the gardens to collect your baby..

yea...u are right....they have a stock but this is monopoly buisness strategy...they give the priority to contract method...this is why they closed Hotlink method...haha sucker ! they should be teach by other telco...lets hope other contender to compete with them in next gen apple device.....

Congratz!! Well I booked mine there too but 2 weeks later (15th Aug) so hopefully I can get mine by early next month. The funny thing today upon reaching home, I saw my iPhone accessories I purchased from US arrived in the mail.

Amazing. People who book mid August already can collect their phone where else July bookers like me still haven recieve their phone even after I bug Machines and Maxis.
