guys, does this mean that i can just get iphone 3gs at the mac store machine or i still have to get it from maxis?

I bought the 3G one and a half month before they launch 3GS.  I was so pissed off with their arrangement of launching!! I feel like i've been ripe off, cause the 3G version price drop drastically. Since maxis planned to launch 3GS, they shouldn't have launch 3G in the first place!!

good news everyone..

i just came back from maxis centre the gardens.. at first, my purpose to maxis centre is to check my collection date.. when i reached there, like usual, press for numbers and wait until you get serve.. i bring along my receipt and tell the staff that im here to collect my iphone (booked mine on 1st of Aug and never receive any sms from them).. the staff took my receipt and look for my phone.. waited for 5 mins and the staff came out with a list of names.. surprisingly my name is not in the list!! however the staff double check the list to confirm my booking and he couldn't found my name neither.. he asked me to wait for 20mins and then another staff came out with my iphone.. woahh.. i can tell you that i was damn relieve at that moment !! after that, the staff proceed with the usual procedure.. i heard 1 of the staff ask who issue the phone to me since my name is not in the 4th batch list.. but luckily the senior staff told them he's the 1 who issue.. thumbs up to the senior staff for 1st come 1st serve basis.. after all the agreements and procedures, i went home happily with my new baby.. haha..

last but not least.. when i look at their 4th batch list, i saw those who made their bookings before 10th Aug is already available for collection.. for those who haven receive any sms or emails or calls from maxis gardens, i think you guys can just go to the maxis centre the gardens to collect your baby..

i dun care they lie or not la..  as long as i get my unit already..

If someone has booked for 3gs from maxis white colour with ivalue plan and wanna transfer the booking to me...is that possible?what is the procedure?

another tricky part is i only want prepaid hotlink and black colour?

When did u book your iphone? I did my booking and paid deposit on 15 august and i went to gardens maxis center yesterday (29 August), i did mention to them that i wil be going overseas on the 7th but they said that i still have to wait for a month..no way they can help to accelerate. I ask them whether i can come n collect by the 6 sept but they said as long as u dont receive any sms or call from us, pls dont come. Damn frustrating. Anyway i will still give a try next saturday b4 i take off on sunday.

When u were at maxis to collect the phone, did they ask you about receiving any sms from them to collect? Did you mention about your travel plan? or they just look at your receipt and process it immediately without asking any questions? Im trying to call 123..now to try my luck...

Probably Cempaka school students will have to submit their offer letter (which they haven't gotten yet in the first place.... probably) to a Maxis rep at the school. Then they have to wait in a long line, because other students also doing the same thing. Once they get to the rep, they have to fill up another form of their details, and then ask them to queue up again to submit to ANOTHER Maxis Rep. Then once they get to that rep, they will give them a number and ask them to return to the counter in another 30 days time before they can receive their phones.
Once the 30 days come by, they find out that their phones still hasn't come in yet. When asked why? The rep just answers "I'm just a rep here. I got no control over things. You should call Maxis and ask them."

So the student calls up Maxis, put on hold, and then asks to enter their booking number. The student then gives the number, only to find out that their booking number is not a regular booking number, and therefor, can't be checked over the phone. They will have to visit their Maxis Rep in cempaka for more details.

The student then goes back to Cempaka, and tells the rep their problem, and they said, come back in a weeks time, that's when our stock is about to arrive.
So they go back in a weeks time, only to find out that the color they want (regardless of Black or White) is out of stock and will have to wait. The students then asks if they can just take whatever color is available, and the Maxis Rep says they can't, because it's booked under that color. The student asks if they can collect it at a Maxis store, and they said can't, because it's a special promotion and only authorize Maxis Reps at cempaka can distribute the iPhones.

So they wait, and wait, and then they get a call from the Maxis rep that they can collect their phones, and when they arrive there to collect, they have to wait another hour or so because all the other students also want to collect their phones. When they finally receive the phone in their hands to download class assignments and whatnot, they realize that they haven't been given a data plan, thus have to pay the full amount, which given the size of assignments these days, could cost as much as the phones themselves.

At the end of the day, they STILL have to pay and their semester almost over

Hmm...can I ask you guys most of you take one year or two year contract? I'm still deciding between one or two years contract..
