yeah...i bom them with harsh e-mail....and manage to get my phone on 30th day. If not, i don't think i still can get the phone until now...

gesh, i booked mine at the 26th and they say need to wait for 6weeks!? for the white color 16gb, where as the black ones only need to wait for 5 weeks ><

booked mine on 8th Sept, leave 10days to go before passing the boarder of their 30day promise. Hopefully can mine right before the time run out.

4 to 5 weeks is reasonable. Every people needs to go through this process

i think i have to try my luck few more months later and buy from Apple distribution store.

i just received a call from Maxis, the girl nicely told me that there might be a 45 days delay.. (i tot that she ask me to collect iphone).. after i heard of the delay.. my mood straight turn to .... i F her saying that
- according to the form, waiting period is 30days, i expect no longer than that
- maxis offer any type of compensation? since u cannot make it within 30days.. and we paid deposit for the phone.. we commit.. u cant?
- by 1-Oct, i will straight go to Maxis Centre and ask for my phone
- a lot people are getting their iphone even for those that booked after me
- stop telling me that Iphone is worldwide shortage, nationwide shortage, overbook..
- if overbook, dont advertise!!!
- there is no point of calling me and tell me that i cant get my phone on 1-Oct !!

may i know which maxis center did you reserve your iphone?

I think whoever booked their iPhone during first week of September at The Gardens can try to contact them and check your status.

I booked my iPhones on 5th September and my units were available yesterday.

Its a bit more complicated for me as well, because I subscribed to the IValue under a totally new number and to get the number I wanted, I had to get a temporary SIM-card that costs me rm30 (for 30days - basically its a basic service sim) .. the woman at the counter assured me that it would only take 30days , so if my phone doesn't turn up then, I'm going to make lots and lots of nice.. to the point I will make sure when I am at the Maxis Gardens, I will make a loud enough noise, so that any potential IPhone customers will know how shitty they are with handling the orders .... of course that is just what I will do, but for now they have not driven me over the edge yet and thanks for the contact info.

Another thing, is there any way to check my status without actually going to the maxis center? The reason is.. they said they would call/sms me but as I mentioned this is under a separate line, and although I reminded them to SMS me on my original line, I worry that their incompetence would make them ignore that request and just keep calling or SMS on my unused new sim-card ..

Seriously, Maxis should have an online checking system..

Probably, I've actually been thinking of upgrading to the 32GB one, but I don't know a if a switch like that would just confuse them and make me wait even longer ..

i went to maxis centre and check.. they cant even let me know.. they said namelist not out yet la.. this la that la.. damn TL.. and call 123 is useless according to the forumers here..

Hopefully my place here, Ipoh can cope with the orders.. wouldnt like it too if they delay my order. Anyone bookd in Ipoh before?

You should contact them to ask about this. As far as I know, if you happened to book the 32GB version, you will get it earlier than when you booked for the 16GB version.

If you follow carefully on this thread, some forumers mentioned clearly that MEP in Ampang Point is offering iPhone with Pre Paid Plan. Good luck!
