i think you've waited too long, almost 2 months, or maybe you can pay maxis a visit, ask why isn't machines getting any stock, and you've booked yours on 3 august, in 5 days time, that will be 2 months. Say that people that booked later than you have already gotten their iPhones. if they ask for prove or anything, do let me know, i'll see if i can help.

Sounds like a good idea. When you say pay Maxis a visit, do you mean the particular one in Sunway Pyramid? I have been following the forum and if I'm not mistaken only about 2 people have gotten their phones from there. All in all, pretty slow if compared to other places. I will only be able to go on Thursday though, so I will let you know how it goes then. Thanks. So far very few people has acquired their phones from Machines...

i booked my iphone 3Gs 16GB white on the 27th August from sunway pyramid but i still haven't get my iphone yet...

i received a call before raya that saying my iphone will be delayed after raya, not sure when yet...

anyone has any idea how i should approach to get my iphone as soon as possible? has anyone booked around the same date as me and gotten the iphone already?

Just head on to the maxis centre. I got two calls from maxis telling me my item being delayed for 2 weeks... and that is BS! Guess what, i just try my luck to collect it on 23 sept where i book on 25 aug.

come on! the phone is there ! just go grab them ! there is a lot of stock in maxis warehouse now...

i booked mine on 6th Sept. Tried my luck last sat. At first the lady ask for my receipt and had a look at her log book, then she take another look at my receipt. She said my phone is not ready for collection yet since it's not 30 days yet and i might need to wait for 45 days. I then told her i was not informed that i need to wait 45 days. She then appologized and said only those booked on 21st September onwards will face delay and asked me to come back again next week.

din make a fuss coz it's not 30 days yet. will do if i cant get it next week. XD

I booked on the 7th and I will go and collect from Sunway Pyramid on 7th October. If they give me any further reasons, I will smack their face one by one. When they try to sell their product, they made a verbal agreement with me that I will be able to collect my phone in 30 days latest and if they inform me on the delay of 45 days, I will void the contract and ask for a refund. No point waiting for a phone that makes you frustrated.

But i thought they already notify in advanced the RM200 deposit is non refundable. OK, waiting for ur smack maxis staff face, youtube link good luck.

In Malaysia, I don't think a verbal contract is standing, anyway, if you've waited for 30 days, why don't just continue waiting? If you don't like the waiting so much, then why did you opt to pre book an iPhone?

I had read over the maxis printout PDF form of Iphone agreement policy. They never mention you can get the RM 200 refund in anyway. But i wonder how does the Maxis staff provides RM 200 refund if they fail to deliver? Why you just wait until 30 days, surely the phone will be there. I've been waiting so frustrating just like you, end of the day, it paid off and i got my phone.

When they ask, "have you receive a phone call from maxis"... Just say YES! and mention that the person who called you to come collect the phone when 30 days has reached.

I am trying to get an iphone 3GS 16GB without signing up to Maxis. My friend told me that Maxis is not keen on selling just the phone without contract.

Any other way I can get an iphone without signing up? I am a digi user.

well you can try the usual, Cod through forums, or Lowyat/Sungei Wang plaza. Just do understand that the phone is still outrageously priced because of the shortage, and honestly at this point it would be relatively hard to get one, unless you join Maxis. Thank god i have been a Maxis user for 8 years so for me it was a breath of fresh air. I got my phone in 3 weeks from Maxis Klcc in August.

Thanks for your reply. If i were to get from any forumer here, there will be rather troublesome when come to warranty claims. Apparently I have to get the maxis user's ic for warranty claims at Maxis center, if i need to repair the iphone.

I think Maxis's main intention is to sell their plans, this earns more than just selling iphone, a one-time off profit!

The truth is, what do you want from your phone, If you want to be a normal Iphone user or a person who would jailbreak. By jailbreaking (like me) you avoid the warranty. IF you do get the phone from anywhere else, for example lowyat, you still dont have warranty, the only warranty is with the shop and if they cant repair it completely, no difference actually.

So bro, if you could wait i would suggest a few more months and get it from Machines. If you really can't, then I would suggest the usual, start lining up at MAXIS for you 1 month wait
