picked her up earlier and within half an hour of taking her down she started sniffing my fingers and frothed on her quills. she anointed my brother as well with an added bonus of biting a chunk off his finger though X:

Ouch. Better not peek anymore.  unsure.gif
If my calculations are correct, Chubster (my possibly pregnant hedgie) will be due at the end of this month.
I'm going to buy a Hagen ZooZone 2 cage so it'll give me more space from her so after she gives birth, I won't bother her with feeding and cleaning much.
Wow, that's cheap.
Hedgie's are such adorable creatures. I'd be devastated as well if I lost one of them.

Speaking of adorableness, I visited Huffy at 1.30am today.

Huffy escaped his playpen (again for the 4th time) & pooped all over the kitchen. However, I found him inside his hidebox in the playpen.
I suspect that he heard me coming and jumped back into his playpen again.  laugh.gif
Mum told me he escaped again after I left and she found him waiting outside the playpen for her to put him back in this morning.  doh.gif

U have nice playpen. Why not u put something like chloroplast on the playpen to extend the height of the playpen.

telileti do you by any chance know the brand of the playpen that you're using?

i read around and picked up that some playpens are either too low (11" - which would be lawn shrubs for hogs to hurdle through) or too light ._x

some at hedgehog central recommended this model -

http://www.petguys.com/-027773005030.html

but. googling. a. generic. brand. such. as. midwest. is. so. e.x.a.s.p.e.r.a.t.i.n.g >_>

Sorry but no, I don't know the brand because I bought it second-hand.
It's too low anyways, Huffy climbs out at night all the time.

My dad said it was his Pudu Jail, now it's become Alcatraz. xD

And here's just a picture of Chubster, chillin'. laugh.gif

sweet mother of towering monstrosity o___o

ive been stalking lil all day from behind my desk so that she wont feel stressed by my presence and at exactly 10:45pm she finally tried running on the wheel D;

let's just hope she likes to actually run on it instead of the previous things she did with it which including biting the legs, rubbing her back against it, pushing it to the other end and so forth ._o

edit*

after an hour plus of running she finally stopped for a drink, to which i jumped in to wipe the poop off her wheel. she took a lick at my wrist, scrambled to her blankie and pretended to be asleep.

..yeah im sure it wasnt her that encrusted the wheel >_> lol

Aww, that's so cute. Is she potty-trained now? xD

Huffy never runs when I'm around.
I caught him on the wheel once and he just FROZE.

Mum found poo and pee all over the kitchen again. I'm thinking Huffy actually scaled the wall to get out. Sounds quite impossible though. sad.gif

It's a great mystery.

my hedgi is a well potty trained tongue.gif , he only poo on me blink.gif when i pick him up to play with him. His box is clean without his poos rclxms.gif . I am afraid if he think that i am his poo toilet. This happen everyday after i put the triangle i made from chloroplast on the corner that he always poo.

I think net dont stop him from climbing. Something solid like cardboard or chloroplast/ plastic board fixed on the top of the playpen (not to close the top but to extend the playpen) by cable tie may stop him from climbing. If u think he lifted the wall to escape, u can put a weight on several points of your wall. Just a two cent from me.

smart? i dont like he poo on me. i prefer he poo on one corner only. My mistake, actually coroplast is the correct spelling not chloroplast. In some stationary shop in JB it is called Infla board

i think your hedge force his way through under the playpen, as the playpen is quite lightweight. i dont think he climbs over the playpen.. just my assumption...

that would be a -ve. i placed her poop in the poop bowl for her to get the idea, but it was kinda redundant since she was on her wheel not long after.. and poop was everywhere ._x!

btw she ate an accumulated amount of a tablespoon (+/-) within the duration of the night. should i be concerned? i'm just feeding her rc36 kibbles atm.

Very good for the DIY wheel rclxms.gif save a lot of $$$ too thumbup.gif . Shouldn't be any problem keeping them in air cond room, wah u give luxury room to them better than my room wor notworthy.gif . Don't think they will hibernate in air cond room, if u worry then just put fleece blanket for them lor.
