wow, shining and beautiful magnificent quills there..... rclxms.gif can i juz drop the baby oil on my boys' skin without rinsing it off?
*
I drop some amount of baby oil onto the final clean bathwater & yes you don't need to rinse it off. Just wipe the excess water off its body & cuddle it inside the towel to let it dry. Usually I rub his hold body including the underbelly as this area dry up faster than the quills' side. After that I put him inside his igloo with the new dry towel so that he won't get cold.

Thanks! FYI, Papoy & Noodles are siblings  blush.gif
Guess that you know where they inherit the cuteness  rclxm9.gif
He used to bite me around 4 times. But now he never bite me. He learned that whenever he bite my hand, I used to act crying painfully. The last time he bite me when he thought that my hand was mealies. It's my fault because I didn't feed him earlier before goin to work, end up he gobbled up the mealies  & accidentally bite my hand.

little hoglet sleeps alot, so don't worry if he's sleeping like 18 hours a day. Maybe you should offer him treats like mealworm so that he'll 'crave' for mealies, not your toes each time you play with him

Papoy is a pooping machine. Now, I'm a fulltime wheel washer. laugh.gif
No idea why they can't stop pooping/peeing while running on the wheel. Before getting a wheel, he used to poop at one corner.
Lucky that hedgehog is a self-groomer. I only clean his "poop boots" with warm water especially his celah kuku.

You can buy one right here on LYN in the Pet Store. smile.gif

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...086&hl=hedgehog
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...600&hl=hedgehog
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...741&hl=hedgehog

Or buy one from a local petshop if they sell 'em.
But it's adviseable to get one from a breeder here on LYN as you would know the health of the parents of the hedgehog and the hedgie would have received better care.

It'll cost around RM100 (plus minus 10) if you buy them at LYN.
In pet stores, the ones I know are sold around RM150.

They're not shy. They're defensive at first if they don't know you. The quills are sharp when they're pointing in every direction but when they're laid flat, they do little harm.

I don't know if the breeders here are in Penang or not. I think one or two would send all the way to Penang (I've read it in the pet store threads before).

NO, under no circumstances should you ever house two hedgehogs together (unless they're female ; though some might not get along).
Male + Female : 100% guaranteed breeding (never house brother/sister or related pairs together)
Male + Male : 100% guaranteed fighting = possibly INJURED/dead hedgehog(s)

I mean no disrespect but I honestly think you should start with ONE hedgehog first, experience the temperament and understand the needs of a hedgehog before you start breeding hedgehogs.

It's a difficult business and it requires a lot of research.

http://hedgehogvalley.com/hhogbreeding.html
http://www.exoticnutrition.com/brhe.html

Here's just a few pages that you should read before venturing into this breeding thing.
