Agreed ! ... What is the point of pre-booking, paying deposit, and setting a collection date ... and then to be told there is no stock ... and even worse is when you find out that other ppl who booked later than you got their units earlier ! ... It's like Maxis is saying ppl who booked at the prominent Maxis centers (MV, Sunway, etc) are "higher class", while ppl who booked at the other Maxis centers and MEPs are "lower class" citizens. They should have delivered the units based on booking order to be fair.

On top of that, Maxis service is a nightmare of epic proportions ... Ppl in Maxis seems to have no idea who is doing what, or when and where. Different ppl give you different story ... There's no excuse really ... the fault clearly lies with Maxis.

Those of you who took the iValue plans ... you should call up Maxis to check what is the BILLING CYCLE for your account. Mine for example is on the 10th of every month ... What this means is that for the first month (My iValue plan started on Aug 1), it's not a full month ... Mine is from Aug 1-9 ... and fees are prorated accordingly ... which means all your free mins, free sms and your data limit is oso proportional so the number of days of your first month. My iValue2 plan for example will allow me to use only about 1/3 of my free mins, sms and data until Aug 9 ... then it resets for a new cycle ...

This is important so that you don't accidentally use over your limits, especially data limits ... otherwise, you might end up paying a bomb ...

Hi guys, I know this is a bit of a long shot. From the posts it seems that most locations have run out of stock of the 3GS, but I was wondering if anyone knows a place that may have some left? Reason being is my 2G died and I'm trying to get a replacement handset before a trip. I know it's a bit of a long shot and would really appreciate it if anyone knows where there may be some left overs. Thanks in advance everyone:)

I managed to find 2 units at Switch, Mines on Sunday but both gone now. It's definitely a very long shot. I don't think there'll be any hope of finding one in stores in the city. Other states perhaps?

True... in the booking email. they ask us to pay the Rm200 deposit and if don;t collect it within 14 days from the collection date then the Rm 200 deposit will be burn. So if 18 August or 20th (after the custom checks and so forth) it will be more than 14 days d.. they should give us some free gift drool.gif or something for unable to deliver what is promise.. then this is fair..

Hi everyone... I'm from Brunei. Pre-booked and paid my deposits through Miri MEP. Did not get my phone on the 31st July till now. Called few times to the MEP and they said probably this coming friday. Was wondering can anyone help me to call KL Maxis center and find out when they will distribute to Miri MEP? Please?

agree with abubin, its the principal of it, how maxis handle the issue, not the waiting.

Some news, called maxis just now regarding the status of my phone, they said I can collect it saturday. I'm wary, but a bit relieved smile.gif

You call maxis help line 0374922123, but tell me, when did you book? and when did you pay deposit?

I just called 1300820120. It's the number to call by hotlink users. Cause hotlink can't call 123 and this 1300 number is chargeable. Darn.

The customer server person have no clue what is happening. Even said they can only help to solve phone number related problems. Can't help with this iphone problem.

Totally useless maxis.

After that I called 1800821123. Asked them if this number is chargeable from hotlink then the person offered to call me back. smile.gif

Now on the line with her and she also seems blur what is happening.

edit:

After some checking, she said there should be no problems with stock in TTDI and Maxis KLCC. I don't know what system they are using but seems like nobody is updating anyone on the correct thing what is happening.

She said will get someone to call me back... sad.gif

That is why I suspected the TTDI people sold the phones to walk in clients who didn't book. They did this probably because they were swarmed by these people on the first day and to get rid of them, they just sold it to them. That's my speculation. So don't quote me on this.

Wow, weird, you guys called maxis or the MEP/dealers themselves?

I called 123 and they specifically said what their actions are, they asked for my phone number for verification and told me that they need to know where my collection place is. When I told them its a dealer, they said they want to ask the dealer, which maxis center they are collecting from. I waited a few minutes, then they said i could collect this saturday, maybe because I booked early, i dunno.

Anyone here can confirm when and how do we know we edi got the free 500mb data, i havent received any sms from maxis/hotlink regarding this matter.

You will receive SMS when the free 500Mb data is activated.

Have to wait few days for it. I waited 3 days before I got the SMS.

Thanks for the number you provided. I called and CS rep told me that the system shows shipment to Miri is on 18th Aug. So I asked him, if the system does show the date, why is it that Miri MEP rep doesn't even know anything about it? And Miri MEP told me I should probably get mine this Saturday. Then, he asked me if I pre-booked mine online. I told him that I personally went to Miri MEP outlet to book and paid my deposits. He said he's not sure how MEP booked my phone from them as Maxis only accept customers who booked via online.

This is getting me confused!

Hi people...

Just to keep U all informed, 1300 number is what U call a 'flat-rate' number if U call from a landline. 1800 numbers are toll-free numbers hence it's FOC.

However, if you're not using a landline and using ur mobile phone, normal telco charges applies. Please bear this in mind.

Also, it would be good if we can once and for all stop speculations about deliveries and collections as it really clutters up the thread.

previously i called up and the guy said it should be activated and asked me to instead activate my 3g account by calling *136#, and after my 3g is activated, there is one sms saying i can use the 3g at a rate of 1kb/sen. no sms on free 500mb data.
