Have U used both IM+ 3.0 & BeeJiveIM? Any preference?! I'm currently on IM+ but have heard so much about BeeJiveIM, I'm considering to spend the 9.99 to get it [Yeah it's going for 9.99 now instead of 15.99 hence heheheh the impulse]

Any advice?

Y don't U check it out and let me know?! *grins* I'm oredi using IM 3.0+ (Full version) except I got it for 0.99 so muAHahHAhah it was a no brainer. 9.99 is quite a bit of $ *muAHahAHhaHAHah* and some forummers are oredi thinking I'm becoming like those 'Ah Sam' haggling at the market !

Yup.. 0.99 for IM+ is really a no brainer. If BeeJiveIM dropped to 0.99 I would just get it without asking much; even if it was 2.99 (considering I knew it was 15.99!) hehEHhee.....

Let me know what the final outcome is. I guess on my end I don't do games so that's quite a bit of savings for me

BeeJiveIM is going at a reduced special @ 9.99. If it was 0.99, I wouldn't have to be thinking this hard as to whether or not I should get it

I did however get IM+ when it was 0.99

I have the same dilemma! I haven't used BeeJiveIM but I been told it's pretty good and stable. Thus far, there's been no negative comments about it. Assuming if I had to pay 9.99 for IM+ and 9.99 for BeeJiveIM, no doubt I'll go with BeeJiveIM

Some forummers have commented on this issue; we still aren't able to ascertain if indeed the battery drains out faster, or if it's because the battery indicator is now more 'accurate' - in the past, the indicator shows it's full but when it starts to drop, it drops rather fast.

AFAIK I used to switch off my 3G services but now that I've got my Unlimited Plan in place, I've started using it and can definitely see an issue with battery life

PS: I am using the iPhone 3G

BeeJiveIM has NEVER dropped below 9.99; not from ever since I been monitoring. At it's lowest it was 9.99 (and that's what it's offering now, in anticipation of 3.0] I doubt it'll ever drop below 9.99 but if it does, it'll be a good time to get it. In fact, at 9.99 it may just be a good time to get it *shrugs* I'm still 15 16 ! hAHahHAhaHAHa

The Maxis iPhone plans aren't really catered for the iPhone; they're catered to make you spend more $. The ValuePlus plans are much better plans as compared to the iValue plans.

With ValuePlus, your monthly commitment is used across voice/data/SMS but with the iValue plans, it's a separate limit for voice + data and SMS is paid separately too!

Yes, IM+ can stay active in the background; U decide if U want it to stay active for 10 minutes right up to 24hours (or more).

Maxis does allow the iPhone 3G to be bought outright without the plan Also, for others who purchase their iPhone 3Gs out of MY, they could always keep to their ValuePlus plans + open the RM99 Unlimited Data Plan or whichever data plan that's needed.

Yes you're absolutely right. Hence, if U purchased ur unit from Maxis and signed on a plan, U will be 'stuck' with the iValue plans till the end of your contract period.

It's not entirely true that the phone is much slower; I felt it was lagging initially but after I rebooted the phone, it seemed fine; I haven't had a chance to test it out on TTR 2.6 yet though.

It's your call as to whether U want the iPhone 3GS or not. I'll like to have it but it makes no financial sense to me. Personally, I'll continue using the iPhone 3G and wait till the iPhone 3GSS comes out next year before I even start thinking of changing

I think YM is on strike. Can't log onto YM through Adium either! I suspect it's not a BeeJiveIM issue but a YM issue

Just downloaded BeeJiveIM, will give updates as soon as I'm done playing around with it but I just luv the push messages - it appears on ur menu screen like an SMS about 1 sec after it's been sent ! *LoL* Push rocks!

Also, can someone tell me how long will BeeJiveIM keep U logged on? The version I downloaded doesn't allow U to set the period.

Hmm.. I've tried rebooting but YM still fails to connect on my end. It shows me "Error: Connection failed on all fallback ports".

I'm also still unable to connect to YM through Adium; and apparently neekun is facing the same issue too!

IM+ doesn't yet support push! I thought it would since BeeJiveIM oredi got theirs updated but well, I guess App Store hasn't gotten to approving it yet! My suggestion; wait it out and see if the situation improves; it should

IM+ currently pushes messages through to an email address; it doesn't quite support push the way we want it YET. There's an update awaiting approval from Apple Store and if that comes through, I believe IM+ will be able to support push.

I can't quite tell the difference between IM+ and BeeJiveIM because I only just downloaded the latter this morning. IM+ however is probably not as stable as BeeJiveIM cause after I downloaded the latest upgrade, it shut on me several times! *urgh*
