I keep getting the impression that Maxis is not interested in providing the best possible experience to iPhone customers.

Since they have the opportunity to be the sole distributor / agent / selected carrier then do a professional job.

Re: prebooking. If people already PAID pre-booking fee, Maxis would know EXACTLY how many phones to order and send to the respective store. Why Machines has none? Personally, it does look like discrimination.

Now, there may be a business case / actual official reason, but its not been communicated to the front-line staff (that's us!) so... how are we supposed to explain to the paying customers?

*
Bro, I respect you for standing up and explaining, and extend my deepest condolences for you guys being caught at crossfire.

Indeed, as I was trying to drive the point, Machines is getting the shorter end of the stick, and since they can't do much because it's really not their fault, it's time for us consumers to stand up for the fight to our rights as consumers. Other than my Facebook proposal, shall we take this up a notch and file a complaint to Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia, since we have solid proof of discrimination and unequal treatment?

Actually, The yellow tinge screen on 3Gs is caused by the hardware or the software(firmware)?

@denzel88:
it's due to the part/hardware - LCD. nothing related to software/firmware. and it's not a major issue. yellow-tint screen does not mean that your iPhone is faulty.

Erm...I found a site, saying that the 3G version has this issue too.
But it can be fixed. Based on this site.

@denzel88:

5A347 is firmware 2.0, bro. it's an old firmware released around a year ago. even on current firmware 3.0, certain 3GS users still face the yellow-tint issue.

@vincentmoo,
Please refrain from making the same posts twice. The reason ur first post was deleted is because it's considered unconstructive; hence the 2nd one was nuked too.

@bontotalan,
If the colour is fine by u then no problem lar. U dun need to haf an iPod to compare it too. I never had an iPod either but I'm not colour blind so I can sort off tell if there's a yellow tint or not tongue.gif

same problem here. I booked my i32G Balck at Maxis Center Ampang Point and, suppose to get mine tomorrow. After reading all these thread in this forum, I made a call just now to check if they have the stock so that i can go collect tomorrow morning. That guy in the phone told me they only have 20 out of the 40 that is in the pre booking list. My phone will be the second batch. Now i just have to cross my finger that the restocking is now...or tomorrow morning... *sigh

I had downloaded many apps and can't wait to try them on the weekend..Guess now all i can do is wait. Disappointed on the Maxis service.. First, making all these plans to suck our money ... can't they be a bit more generous.. I got the idata2 - might consider idata 3 so that have more data to use just in case they suck another RM250 per month from me, if i am not careful with my 3g usage.. what do you guys recon?

btw, thank you to all the forum in lowyat.net which provides all the answers i need to know regarding this new toy.. which i am going to get..hopefully soon..

I got my iphone today at machine klcc.I waited from 9am till 4pm. What a delayed. And im supposed to take iValue plan but that guy told me at 3.45pm that I have to wait for 3 days to convert my prepaid plan to postpaid plan.I was pissed off coz he never tell me earlier. If not,i dont have to wait till 4pm.At the end, i told that guy tht im stick with my prepaid plan and pay extra rm200 coz prepaid plan is more expensive and without contract.Anyway,im happy with my phone now.The staff at machine KLCC really done a good job.cant blame them for the delayed of the iphone.Its just maxis who didnt assist them on how to register a new user for the customer.

hi guys,

i read that those we chose to collect form machines (mine is machines one utama, 32GB White) were asked to switch plan first.

how long do they need if we collect phone + switch plan on the collection date? will it be ridiculously long like 2 or 4 hours? i ported in from digi and currently on VP50 plan. i was told by maxis that machines can change my plan on collection date.

crossing fingers that machines will hv stocks tmr. weekend wud be fun with a new toy biggrin.gif
