i just booked mine - 32GB White, iValue Plan 12 months (since I'm gonna be a port-in customer, not eligible for 24 mths!) and gonna be able to collect it by 31st July (another 15 days!!)

some says that its expensive but compared to previous launch, i think this time around maxis is doing better.

anyway, i'm trying to convince myself that it's worth it coz i'm sooo wanna get my hand on iPhone3GS (even more since i just got my mbp13!)

so here's how i see it (someone agree with me pls?)

currently i'm on digi prepaid, cost me only RM30 per mth (1 year = RM360).

jumping on maxis iValue Plan 1 for 12 months, i'll need to fork out RM100 per mth (1 year = RM1200).

over a year, digi prepaid vs maxis postpaid = RM840

based on the plan, i'm getting RM700 discount for the phone. so i'm actually paying additional RM140 only (RM840 - RM700 discount).

so, if i dun like maxis at the end of the 12th month, i can walked away (perhaps back to digi?) and actually paid RM140 more only?

ok.. i'm myself but i guess i just wanna get my hand on it!

just got a call from machines, one utama that says the iphone has not arrived yet. according to the guy, maxis do not have enough iphone to distribute and i'm asked to wait for machines to call before collect mine, which is suppose to be tomorrow.

anyone experiencing the same issue?

DAMN, just received the freaking sms saying to collect at 1st Aug >x<.

some says 32GB is available only on 5th August, while some says there is stock?

quick update:

just called up machine one utama, asked for my 32GB White.

they said by the end of today, only 16GB will arrive for them.

there is still no news on when they can get the 32GB. they have asked maxis but no answers were given to them as well.

i read that those we chose to collect form machines (mine is machines one utama, 32GB White) were asked to switch plan first.

how long do they need if we collect phone + switch plan on the collection date? will it be ridiculously long like 2 or 4 hours? i ported in from digi and currently on VP50 plan. i was told by maxis that machines can change my plan on collection date.

just called up machines one utama. am told that the stocks for 32GB White has arrived and those prebook will definitely get the phone either today or tomorrow. guess they are managing the swamp of ppl rushing to get their new shiny toy not sure about 32GB black though.

the guy said, please wait for them to call before heading to the machines. so am waiting for call from them again, hopefully today.

mebbe you guys should start calling machines utama to check when you can get yours.

got my 32GB White from machines MV. i didn't wait for them to call and just barge in and says please help me check if i'm in your list. vincent, who attended me were kind enough to help me check and process my order even though i came uncalled

it took me very very long to finish though.

1.15pm - barge in, vincent does checking and everything
1.45pm - i'm told that the submission to change my plan to their system has to wait for about half an hour (i'm port in, from digi, and maxis set me to VP50 during the port in)
2.45pm - went back to machines, unfortunately, forgotten my cc, went back to my car and take
3.00pm - line up for my turn again!
3.30pm - got my turn, and process were done in about 45 minutes.

so far so good, am playing with my phone now. yellow tint very obvious meh? i felt its ok wor
