for my case, it was wrapped up. then the staff asked for my permission to open it up in front of me to show me what is inside and asked me to insert my SIM card for activation.

yup. my screen also looks similar. but IMO it is a lot better than some of the pictures of reported cases where it clearly shows a distinct yellow tint....

my deposit paid on 17/7, no queue.. i was the first there and another 2 early bird compatriots from the day before came shortly after. all 3 of us got our phones.

but since so many ppl got the 3GS now
it is good that 16gb n 32gb [if you have frens getting the phone together]
do some start up speed test is great
becoz that guy claim that 16gb is over clock processor to 600Mhz
and the 32gb actually using 600Mhz processor

I think the website is wrong.. coz iphone3gs got 256 ram.. iphone3g 128 ram

Walk-in and booked it is fine, but walking in and then got an iphone 3gs immediately is just pure prejudice. Be just, most of us paid RM200 deposit so that we can be assured that our unit will be reserved for us and then we can pick it up when it becomes available.

You can book it now from either Maxis stores, MEP or APR. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for the 2nd batch, which no one knows when that's going to arrive.

I am very dissapointed in Maxis. Three weeks ago I emailed Maxis to ask them if I could preorder the prepaid Hotlink kit online in advance. They told me this was possible, but only after arriving in Malaysia. So I waited and went to a Maxis store yesterday morning.

So I preordered the iphone but received a sms today with the request to pay RM200. Unfortunately I was informed today that I couldn't get the iPhone in combination with Hotlink.

The answer they gave wasn't clear enough to me. I didn't quite understand why they couldn't pre-order it for me.

where do you preorder?
i also want to order via hotlink plan
but last saturday i went to maxis sunway
a guy said cannot order through hotlink plan anymore
