I saw from here that the launching date is 28/7. But went to Maxis Center in Miri, they say is not true and will stick at 31/7. How come like that?

I went to Cheras Maxis Centre, and was told by the rep there launching is on 28th, and collection is 31st. Reason for me believeing so is cause the particular rep is involved in some sort of launching road show, cos in the midst of registering, her colleague were asking her information bout it.

I don't find the reason to discuss about the launch which to me is pretty useless since we are not getting the iphone. Guys, get over it. Lets focus on 31st.

so... if i din not book mine before the deadline, would i be able to get it after wards? waiting for my paycheck

If U don't manage to book urs before the closing of the pre-orders U'll just have to wait till those who pre-ordered get theirs before U can get urs

that means almost a whole MONTH blardy hell

If Maxis brings in enough stocks and there are leftovers after all those who preordered have collected their units, I'm sure they will open it to walk-ins. Then, it'll be on first come first serve basis.

As to duration, it can't be estimated.

Just went to pay the deposit, the counter just print me the receipt and not ask me to sign any document/agreement.
Do I still need to wait for another purchase confimation mail/sms from Maxis ? or just go to Maxis center (where I pay the deposit) to pay the balance and correct the 3Gs ??

kelvin: You'll need to print the confirmation email that maxis sent to you.

You will actually get a transaction number via SMS, instantly after u register.

haih, i just feel we have like 10 more days and there isnt much to talk here anymore. it's going to be tough 10 days to go thru...

Royle: For me, they photocopied my IC to be attached to the receipt, for their reference.

Didnt photocopied my IC or anything. Just told to wait until 31st and bring the receipt + email confirmation to them to collect.

Yeah, its going to be a tough 10 days, at least you guys have job/study to occupy yourself, I am in-between work now, so you can imagine the amount of time i got on my hand to pass

the phoneline i m using now is under my dad;s name and he is now at outstation. He will only be back this sat which means i couldnt make it to the booking period.

Do anyone know if i can just walk in and buy at Saturday or do i really have to wait until the whole booking collection period to be over which is after 14 Aug 09??

they didnt ask for your ic for verification purpose ? As far as i know, they need ur ic for verification purpose in order to proceed to booking.
If that;s the case, i might go and book it myself first then ask my dad to go collect it later.

can i know which maxis branch u did your booking ?

U can try to do a walk-in 'pre-order'. If they need verification, U could always give you dad a call. Also, get him to authorise U to make collection so U don't have to drag him with U to make the collection.

The other option for instalment plans is to go through your Credit Card. Different CCs have different instalment plans. I know for sure American Express Gold Credit Card is offering 0% interest on instalment plans from now till December 2009.
