If you are willing to fork out 1k for the monitor, why not consider the 2209WA? The e-IPS panel looks seriously amazing, provided you can stomach not having a HDMI connection and a 1680 x 1050 resolution.

@zero_hour;
It's so cheap that a missing HDMI connection doesn't matter much. Another plus, apart from the price, would be it's higher brightness level than all other ST models. Currently running on a screen with a 250nit brightness level myself, and IMHO it's too dark even at the highest setting.

hmmm,just ald got final choice then... rclxub.gif ......emm,should i look another brand?the LGW2361V-PF ?it got 300 cd/m2 brightness wink.gif ..

My dell 2407WFP 24" monitor just fail on me the second time and this time the Warranty expired joh.
The problem is with the power on/off button again... it got stuck and i cant on my monitor. Dell said they wont fix it even if i paid them.
So now i planning to get another Dell monitor but i notice this Alienware 21.5" frm dell.... the price is a lot expensive than the 24"... the contrast lvl and the response time is better too.... but do u guys think tat it is a value buy? Or should i just go and buy the 24" better.
*
IIRC, the alienware is the same as the ST2210, just that it has a different packaging, i read it in HardForum once. The dynamic contrast shouldn't matter. Only the people who wants to sell you monitors says that it matters.

You are paying 1k for the alienware name on your monitor, not for the quality.

.....branding problem i guess.... Alienware is always more expensive.
Just now i browse through some site that said that the On/off button can be fix through opening up the LCD.... gonna try it first, dun really want to throw away my current monitor (back then i bought it for RM2500+)

Since zero_hour need HDMI for ps3, so HDMI a little bit important for him. TN-panel 82% color gamut is ok for non-professional graphic designer/user. We don't see any user complain their lcd lack of color yet. If got, rare.

Difference RM400 for 1 extra HDMI, 4 USB, Height Adjustable Stand and Audio Connectivity (will this work when we are using soundcard?) And "Alianware" for view.
For tight income costumer like me.. no worth leh. But of course all depend own personal taste.

Opps my bad.

It's the SX2210, not the ST2210 which is not available at the Dell Malaysia website

Don't overlook the better brightness level, contrast ratio (useless I know) and response time too. But I do agree that you will be paying a premium price for the Alienware name brand that just doesn't justify its overall performance.

You can find their service centres from the Samsung website. There one near federal highway.

It is 3 years, if u lost your receipt, it will start from the day that the LCD was manufactured.

Don't put too much hope though, my Samsung T240 is still not back yet and I have to wait till 1st week of November to come back (hopefully) and not another wild goose chase.
