All delivery and tax charges are included in Dell's online price.

And yes, the 2209WA uses an e-IPS panel.

Hmmm, that's the good thing about DELL thumbup.gif
Service after sales is also one of the advantages you get icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey guys,

My 6-year old 17" monitor has finally failed on me.

I'm now looking for a 22" wide screen monitor. Budget around RM450-600. Can i have some recommendations please? I don't need wall-mount feature, preferably black, non-glossy type. I use it mainly for movies, online gaming, surfing etc. I'm not gonna connect it to a gaming console, i.e. PS3 etc.

I've seen a lot of HDMI term in this thread, may i know what is it about? If you have HDMI port meaning you can watch Blu-Ray movies? Is it important? I've tried to google it but i don't really get what does it mean (can transfer audio/video data?), too technical i think. And also, is there any significant difference between the 21.5" and 22"?

My GC is Asus GeForce 8800GT 256DDR3, so i guess i'm using the DVI port?

Thanks in advance.

hmm, that model dont have HDMI right ...
HDMI is not essential on a monitor with DVI (with HDCP) a certain convenience only.. RM10 gets you an adapter to switch around...

more importantly it has display-port

HDMI = (DVI + digital audio) ... sincce most monitors have no built-in speakers... HDMI = DVI. To be more specific, HDMI = SL-DVI.

just different sockets, cheap adapters/cables makes switching between the 2 easy...

Can anyone recommend me a 24 inch monitor?
budget around 700 to 800

interested in dell st2410,but is it Full HD?any comments from fellow forumers here?

Besides st2410,it seems AOC 2434pw may be a good choice too.however 3,4 of my friends been using the monitor and all I heard are curses from them bout the monitor.

IMO, Cnet review kinda shallow, not in-depth enough. They produced a lot reviews but all similar. Better look for alternative reviews.
