Hi.. Anyone using dell's lcd monitor? How's it? I am looking for one, not sure which one to go, dell or samsung. budget around RM600 (Dell can get 23" one). Any recommendation? if can get cheaper, sure better.

The Acer P244w has double HDMI ports, of which a DVI to HDMI cable is also included, along with a HDMI-HDMI cable. If u cannot find an extra DVI-HDMI cable on sales or its expensive, u can always go for a HDMI-DVI converter for around RM10, most shops have it as they shud be no cost items upon bulks of HDMI ready GCs. (do mind the cable-converter type though, male/female)

The Samsung 2494HS for Malaysian market at the moment is really lousy. Yes i describe it as lousy. The image quality is substandard to its rival 24" in its class, more over it's a 23.6 incher. The Samsung T series is hard to find nowadays, i think even if u can, they are old/left over stocks. Btw HDMI and DVI uses same signal, correct me if i am wrong.

the new LG w2453v coming out soon should be sub 1k.. 24 inch (not 23.6 inch)

then get acer h233h or asus vh242h

what i am seeing now is the current market dont have good lcds above rm 749 the lcds which are above rm 749 dont have much difference

like P2370 only led and supergloss at rm 849
Dell S2409w RM 750 is not good too
Dell G2410 RM 899 no HDMI


I am really waiting for the LG 24 inches but they are not coming their waiting is killing me.

So currently Say you budget is RM 750 to 850 what LCD will you choose from the following ?

1. Samsung 2494hs RM 749
2. Asus VH242h RM 749
3. Acer P244w RM 780 to 870(old model and old spec with 2 HDMI)
4. HP W2338h Only 23inch RM 830
But its Picture Quality is Superb and HP monitors are top of the line

Any other models you recommend with HDMI at that price range? Dont recommend AOC 2434pw or Viewsonic vx2433wm or any Benqs or Current Dells.

p2370 is not led.if is led, 23inch

I am now in uk and the LG W2453 series has released...
thr is W2453TQ available in uk while W2453V-PF is available in US...
however, I feel like kena con by the website coz I purchase it last week and it havent arrive till now... it suppose to express delivery.. haiz...
I had ordered the W2453V bcoz this model has got HDMI input while the W2453TQ dun have... the rest is all the same...
in my opinion, this lcd is really worthy to buy...
the price is about 180-199 pound depends on the shopping website you buy from...

But i dont really like the design..It is better than the p2370??

There is a person selling the W2361V-PF here http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1128919&hl= at quite a decent price but too bad it only comes in glossy. I asked him but he doesn't carry the matte version T_T

IMO, the quality of Samsung monitors doesn't seem to be as good compared to last time?

glossy?u mean the screen like acer h233h where it reflect the light?

Yeah. Glossy means the screen is reflective.

My acer H233H is glossy one..
very distracting..my room light bright also

what i can say is DO NOT go for glossy if you are using it outside.

Went for Viewsonic VX2433wm afterall... At first got the H233H, but turned out there was a dead pixel. But the main problem was the glossiness, really too distracting. Pains my eyes somemore.

Changed it for the VX2433wm... off to test it out vigorously.
