QUOTE(hellfire8888 @ Apr 4 2010, 03:35 PM) Diorama Art Filter Cheng Beng Time... I noticed in your flickr pages that you're using the four third's 50mm f2.0 macro lens on your e-p1. . I heard the lens is very sharp wide open and suitable for portraiture work. How's the handling and the AF? Is the AF too slow? Total damage RM ?? I might be considering this...if i have money Another cheap macro pic from my the kit lens This post has been edited by razkal: Apr 5 2010, 01:22 AM

Hellfire has suggested to combine 43 and m43 thread... what you guys think? will it be confusing if suddenly 43 people come in asking about 43 stuff like mirror lock and stuff like that and m43 people will ? This post has been edited by gogo2: Apr 5 2010, 02:08 AM

Is there a 43 thread ... didn't notice BTW ... I am letting go my Zuiko Digital ED 70-300mm/F4.0-5.6 tele lens, bought 1 week ago (less than 40 shots) Reasons: 1. Under utilized. 2. Too big and heavy to my liking. 3. Think will go for Lumix G 45-200mm. PM me if you still interested. This post has been edited by Wuahaha: Apr 5 2010, 09:15 AM

I think maintaining a dedicated m43 thread will be great, since they are pretty much different things - no mirror, different lens mount and user group etc. Just my 2 cents

I vote for not merging the threads.

I'll vote for merging. Since the lenses can be shared between brands and between model (with adaptors if required).
It would be good if we can get a larger "member" pool to share knowledge & experiences.

i vote for not merging..the 2 system is pretty much different..so if merging, then will be very confusing if someone talk abt 43 while other reply m43..maintaining like now will be better as if u wan all info abt m43 can just look here while wan know more abt 43 can look into other..
just my two cent...

Just another E-PL1 review just in case anyone missed: http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/01/olympus-e-pl1-review/Anyways, let's talk about memory card. I'm using 8GB Toshiba's class 4 card and I'm thinking of getting an upgrade to that. What are my options? This post has been edited by faidz85: Apr 5 2010, 01:13 PM

Yup, correct.
I think E-PL1 is the best mix of features and simplicity. It takes better picture than my D40 and when my sister even produced better pictures than her friend's fully equipped D5000(with flash and everything).
People need to know that DSLR isn't the only option they have to take good pictures.
