@ gogo2

I'm not sure what you meant but I think you never used any E-Px?

Art filter is like its name suggests. It acts more like a lens filter. Meaning that the art effects can only be seen on a newly captured picture.

I'm bad at explaining. Maybe this can give you some rough idea and hopefully someone else can explain it better than me.

Also, welcome visitorfromhell69 to the M43 side!

You're wrong bro. Hehe.... effect can be seen before you capture the photo in Live view... I'm owner of E-P1 by the way...

Sorry Multi film doesn't "stack", it just take (saves) up to 3 different types of film settings (Standard, Dynamic, Vibrant, Nature, B&W, Nostagic, etc) in a single button shot (errmm not sure is it like bracketing need 3 different shots). Need go back to check haha:P

The E-Px's art filters are like a post-processing within the camera itself, so you no need use photoshop later. Same goes with all those film/image settings icon_idea.gif

Do you see the effect in Live view?

That's what I mean though I never mentioned the part the preview is available in live view. Like I said, I'm bad in explaining! Haha.

Welcome another member!

Sure bro, I think all the cameras with the similar settings (eg. Standard, Vibrant, B&W, Soft, etc, etc) can be seen from live view right? smile.gif

There is a Preview mode, which shows the picture/image on the live view screen before taking a real shot. Useful when playing with aperture or shutter speed settings. icon_idea.gif Not sure E-Px has this. hmm.gif

Oh..nothing fancy.

Just that i happens to have the camera with me and i was walking with a friend on a fine evening. As my place is very near to the airport, a plane flying by is a common sight. Held the camera above my head and took the shot. That's about it..and a lil bit of pp. nod.gif

Since I own E-PL1, so E-PL1 lah laugh.gif Depend on your usage...E-P2 is originally targetted to a seasoned photographer, whilst E-PL1 more towards general mass market, including beginner, or to those who wanted to try out M 4/3 system...and I would say it is a smart move from Olympus to lure market into the M 4/3 system.

Dun buy E-P1/E-P2.

i agree with gogo2..epl1 price is attractive especially with that twin lens kits package. and add in some very useful function like can adjust colour, blur or motion effect easily.. tis is another very good add on for beginner or who wan point and shoot user like me tongue.gif... i will choose epl1 too to start with if i not yet get gf1.. but of cos got some weak point like dun have incl view finder etc which is not really a must to me.. so i will seconded gogo2, epl1 !

Agreed nod.gif . Go and get yourself the epl1..It's much better for beginners.

I bought e-p1 and it took me sometimes to understand what is shutter speed, aperture and how to use it when you are going to take pictures as the e-p1 is actually my first 'dslr' can i say dslr?? The learning curve is very steep but if you are willing to learn e-p1/e-p2 might be the thing for you.

The concept is more towards a point n shoot camera but with interchangeble lenses. Epl1 have built in flash and the menu and settings is very inutiative. The hot shoe on top give you an option to add other accesories such as the viewfiender and mic.

As for me, e-pl1 is supposed to be an ep1 camera at first launch..Why didn't olympus think of this at first.

Cheers..
