LX3 plus 24mm f2.0 lens is only rm1500 and EP1 body + kit lens is rm2999 ..so LX3 still have their own market..

QUOTE(shootkk @ Jun 16 2009, 05:22 PM) It's a micro four thirds camera. So four third sized sensor = quality like four third sized DSLRs. You can change lenses but having multiple lenses defeats the purpose of having a compact. Although the lenses are smaller in size it is no less cumbersome to pack multiple lenses. One disadvantage is that the camera is unable to mount current four thirds lenses without the use of an adapter so you are basically starting off with a new system and have its own lenses to collect. I think at best it's gonna be a niche market appealing to techy gearheads rather than true photo enthusiast. hmm this make me think of whether to sell lx3 or not.. poison...

like i say the price will definitely drop and be patient..and using Ep1 with 4/3 lens is just a bonus..ep1 will have their own m43 lens line up... 14-42 and 17mm is just the beginning..+ 7-14 from panasonic m43 also cool..these lens are all m43 and interchangeable..

QUOTE(ianho @ Jun 22 2009, 01:00 PM) How can they call the lens ultrawide when the micro 4/3 is 2x crop factor. That makes the 17mm lens a 34mm lens. That's not even near wide angle in 35mm terms. Or have Olympus labelled the lenses specifically for the camera meaning the 17mm label is already after the 2x crop factor. yes 17mm is not super wide... 7-14 is..so in 35mm equivalent it is 14mm wide..

" pro say d5000 high iso much better than d300 wor. so E-P1 = d3 lolz "
i dont see any logic in this statement.. if d5000 is better than d300 how come suddenly E-P1 = D3?
D3 is FF la..

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jun 29 2009, 03:47 PM) You're wrong dear. All m4/3rd no need adapter. You only need adapter for 4/3rd lens (those e-series olympus lens). for example now i am using Olympus E3 4/3 format. i can swap lens with panasonic L10 user. No adapter require. so for EP-1 they can also swap lens with G1 user cause both also micro 4/3 format. However if EP-1 wanna use lens from 4/3 format then they need an adapter. so same format no need apater..diff format need adapter..
