Official response from Xtreamer on the 2nd/3rd batch delivery. 2nd batch orders should receive the unit by 15-Aug-09. Bei-tahan, another 2 more weeks.
Dear friends and customers,
We know many of you waiting eagerly for your xtreamer. We fully aware of some of the rumors around and we make this post in order to clarify the status of shipments and as how it is going to be done this time .
We had to change the method of deliveries as the quantity of units of 2nd + 3rd batch are few times bigger than the first one, and no company was able to promise us fast deliveries of this qunatities.
It is our clear intention to give you the best service possible and make it as smooth yet fast mechanism.
Courier company DHL/GLS/EMS
As opposed to the first batch, this time we will not ship via TNT.
For 2nd and 3rd batch we will use DHL and GLS or EMS this time. We believe that it will be easier this way to avoid the same problems we had last time. We are using now little different method in order to deal one time with the whole issues of tax and customs regarding the whole shipment and not 1 by 1 DDP .
Your units left the factory and on its way to the new distribution center we set up in Europe. The whole bulk units of the 2nd and 3rd batch will be processed from there.
It will take several days to arrive there, clear custom in 1 go for the whole lot, and once arrived to the distribution center each order will get its shipment tracking number.
The estimated time of arrival to your house will be not more than 14 working days ! We believe that by August 15 most of 2nd batch orders will get their units.
The 3rd batch orders will be shipped 1 week or so later.
How can you track your shipmment ?
Currently you cannot trace your order as the whole bulk of units are on their way to the distribution center. We will notify you with #tracking number within your account once we are ready for shipment from the distribution center. Please dont send us messages regarding this issue. We will not postpone this issue in our side. Your account will be promptly updated once your unit will be picked up from the distribution center.

Once you will get your tracking numbers, in few more days from now, you will be able to expect delivery within 2-7 days, depnding on how far you are from our distibution center.
The same amount of time it took the first batch to arrive will be applied this time, only more efficient.
As a pre-buyer customers you are entitled to get from us 1 free USB WIFI 802.11n as a gift. This gift will be attached to your shipped unit.
We serve clients on the basis of first to order will be first to be served.
RMA and lost units of the first shipment will take priority. The same process of delivery will be applicable to the same.

The 2nd batch is on its way to Europe now.
We will not update further on this issue, until the units will get to the distribution center.
Additional Applicable Shipping Costs
Our courier company calculates your shipment based on weight. If you have ordered more than one unit in your order you may be subjected to request for the balance of additional shipping charges.
Shipment is calculated as per 1 unit per order. In case you placed with us 2 different orders you will have to pay the shipment fee per each order as each shipment is insured and monitored to and from the recipient.
Some of you placed an order for more than 3 or sometime more units and paid only 20 Euro flat rate shipping.
This may be not be enough to cover the shipping charges and in case we will be required to pay more we will notify you and you will have to pay for the balance.
Be aware that sometime more than 2 units are regarded as of "commercial shipment value" and custom and excise may retain your shipment for further inspection or even decide to charge you additional tax.
We hope that as we are using internal European delivery system you will be able to avoid this issue.
We will not cover or refund taxes for customers who ordered more than 1 unit.
No Taxes for EU countries
European union country residents should not have to pay taxes. We pay all the taxes for the whole batch before it is even getting to the hands of the distribution center.
We ship the 2nd and 3rd batches from Europe.
According to our first batch experience we cannot guarantee all will go smoothly and with no additional charges. We try our best. Should be ok this time as your xtreamer deliveries is not handled 1 by 1 by custom, rather we deal with it in 1 go.
Taxes may be applied for non - EU countries
Soon after you placed in our system your order we sent you a message within your account urging you to consult your local Custom office for possible liability of tax and VAT.
If you are leaving outside the European Union, as a recipient of our device you may be subjected to additional import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.
In such case any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you.
We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.
As the unit Value is less than 200 USD, it should not be to much anyway, if applicable at all.
RMA Replacements deliveries
The RMA replacements will be done in the same time and manner as the 2nd batch deliveries.
Your units will be sent to you from the distribution center in Europe.
Your units will be sent to your door where the faulty unit will be picked up from and sent to us. Once the distribution center will supply us the #tracking number of the new delivery we will notify you within your account so you can estimate its time of arrival.
Please note, you will get only a replacement for the unit defected, not the whole box.
Units lost in the first batch
Unfortunatley, some of you reported us that their unit were lost on TNT delivery. We will send you new units together with the 2nd batch.
Your orders are given priority. The re-shipping will be done in the same time and manner as the 2nd batch deliveries as described above.
Your units will be sent to you from the distribution center in Europe.
Required Packaging Steps:
A. Place unit in ESD (Electro Static Discharge) Bag .
B. Wrap with 2 inches of bubble wrap or non-movable foam cushioning.
Remove any accessories, cables, cradle, manuals, that shipped with the product, send us only the defected item.
C. Place in sturdy cardboard box. Do not use chipboard, as it is not strong enough to withstand the rigors of transit. Please make sure the corrugated carton is free from
defects and is structurally sound. Note: Returning a XTREAMER.NET unit in an envelope, will be refused by the courier company and void the warranty.
D. Please attach to the returned item a print with clear and detailed description of the defect you have experienced, your order number and full name and address .
E. Write the Return Material Authorization number on outside packaging, on three sides in-bold print.
F. When shipping multiple items, each item must be, packed as above. All products MUST be, packed in individual anti-static bags and in a sturdy cardboard box.
What happens if your unit is DOA
We tested all units before shipment 1 by 1 for 4 hours each. Units passed very close monitoring procedure before they left our factory to try avoid DOA cases to a minimum.
Nevertheless, In case your device will be damaged during transit and regarded as DOA - dead on arrival — we will ask you to initiate an RMA request within your account and send us serial number and few clear pictures and detailed explanation to the symptoms you may experience. A delivery with new #Tracking will be given once RMA officer approve you request and the
Money Back Guarantee
As an xtreamer client you are entitled to a money back guarantee in case you are unhappy with your purchase. If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original box, Xtreamer Store will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return us the item before we can make you a refund.
All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, cables and documentation and registration that shipped with the product. Xtreamer will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened hardware or accessory as well additional 10 euro of payment gateway fee.

Wow. In 2 weeks time, Xtreamer will release new firmware, will include BD ISO support.
Too bad, I don't have any BD ISO files to try out at the moment.
