Bro, I think you need to connect using optical from Xtreamer to ur A/V receier then it will detect. Just my 2cents.
as far as i know, hdmi bring audio too. optical setup may necessary when i still need the audio 5.1 through my avr.
and yes, i'm looking for optical cable now, just regret need to spend some more even when hdmi should be sufficient.

i'm using the same AVR like yours and its working fine in my environment....
my setup
Xtreamer Pro with 4TB HDD inside (now running firmware 2.5.2) -> Pioneer AVR (Harman Kardon HKTS 11 BQ Speaker) - FUll HD LCD...no issue playing DTS-HD and TrueHD stuff...all connected using HDMI
mine telling me how u setup yours? maybe i can guide/help you....
p/s:
HDMI in 1 -> Xtreamer Pro
HDMI in 2 -> Astro Byond (but i rarely use this / normally i plug my byond direct to my LCD)
HDMI in 3 -> Use to hook up BD player but now left open
HDMI out -> to my LCD TV

yes, I know you had the same avr.
My setup;
HDMI in 1 (BD) -> Xtreamer Pro (not working though)
HDMI in 2 (TV) -> empty
HDMI in 3 (DVR) -> empty
HDMI out -> Plasma TV
*Astro --component--> avr --RCA-->TV
I've tried to remove all other component and RCA cable on this avr, left with hdmi only, but still not working.
My XPro setup that works;
Video: XPro --hdmi--> TV
Audio: XPro --RCA--> avr
thanks though for looking on my case
