Wahh~ RM1.6k?Anyways, have lots of fun with your new gadgets! Really envy you tongue.gif Anyways, i've been searching for an overall lens on the Internet. Nikon 18-200mm VR is my choice but it's too expensive. How about the Tamron 18-270mm?I heard it's good. Around rm1.7k right? blush.gif

Tamron is about 1.8K last I saw. But I think you can consider the 18-135 or the 18-105VR. Both are very sharp lenses.

I'm guessing is that it is the meter. Meter is not 100% accurate. From the shadows I'm guessing that the background is brighter (from the girls' t-shirts) in these situations you should turn the flash on as a "fill" light. Anyway you can try using "P" instead of "Auto".

Tamron 18-270mm is little bit cheaper than Nikkor 18-200mm. Sharpness is good throughout all focal length. Only problem is AF sucks in low light condition. VC works like a charm, even better than VR

The white shirts 2 girls wearing fool the metering system of the camera. U can increase the exposure compensation to make it brighter.
Usually i'll look at the photo after i take it and adjust accordingly and take the second shoot if not satisfied with the first one

Did you use flash to fill flash? Even with exposure 0 EV, the shadow on the girls' face should be eliminated by fill flash...

i think the white shirts r not the problem, cos many other pics of people in other color shirts oso gave same results
maybe is becos the area is a basketball court, and the floor is grey cement?

No, fill flash (in his case) means fire flash towards the face of the girls so that the shadow on the face can be eliminated. In his pic the shadows are covering the details in the face, so fill flash will be a good idea.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong in my explanation, I am not good in explaining sweat.gif
