18105 or 18200....get Sigma 18200 cheap good and sharp. around 1.7k... if u can pay 2600..get nikkor 18200..lol

Newest Tamron 18270 not bad too..but it hunts in low light situation.

Which kind of lens are you looking for... and what lens do you have at the moment ? If cheap, sharp and with VR, I recommend the new 18-105VR (D90 kit lens).

can i know which is the cheapest all-rounder lens?

I'm using Sigma 18-200mm. I bought a used one in cheap price, but still like new cos only 3 months old. With that price, I'm satisfied with the pics I shoot with that lens. If u gt fund, get a Nikkor 18-200 or Tamron 18-270 VC

Downside of Sigma is it's soft at 80-135mm. However sharp at both ends and AF is fast.
Nikkor lens is always expensive compared with third party.

Nikkor.. expensive b'cos it is NIKKOR you pay for the name and the build quality. Tamron.. AF speed is generally slower than Sigma (HSM) or Nikkor (SWM) that use USM (Ultrasonic Motor) which is a full ring type motor. Tamron uses a "micro motor" which is like a small screwdriver.

Any lens you buy also there will be compromise. It is only whether you can accept or not at the price that you are paying. Best is to test it out yourself. What may be acceptable to you..may not be to me or another member and vice versa.

Added on June 1, 2009, 2:29 amThis problem is not only for Sigma but for most of the "superzoom" lenses. They normally have a "soft spot" in the middle of the zoom range. And all have bad barrel distortion at the wide end.

If I'm not mistaken, you won't be charged if your camera is still in warranty. Guys, my hard disk is running out of space, what happen if i compress my photo?

Wahh~ RM1.6k?Anyways, have lots of fun with your new gadgets! Really envy you tongue.gif Anyways, i've been searching for an overall lens on the Internet. Nikon 18-200mm VR is my choice but it's too expensive. How about the Tamron 18-270mm?I heard it's good. Around rm1.7k right? blush.gif

seriously? isnt the tamron 18-270 the same price as nikon 18200VR?

No, fill flash (in his case) means fire flash towards the face of the girls so that the shadow on the face can be eliminated. In his pic the shadows are covering the details in the face, so fill flash will be a good idea.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong in my explanation, I am not good in explaining  sweat.gif
*
yup correct... avoid the panda eyes at all costs... dont want the shadows covering the lower part of the eyes.
