if so..then basically it could also af with d60/d40 bodies right using the same method? (if the grip fits those models)

Will fit but the D40 doesn't have the sync terminal to plug the cable in.

sb600 - rm780-800

nissin di622 - rm430-450

sb600 can do CLS - with a trigger on SB900 or D90 body. if you have the money, go for the sb600. period.

nope, the D5000 grip will not fit on D40/D40X/D60 cos there's a curve shape that fits D5000 nicely only

im not really concerned with the grip fitting on d40/d60..im just asking, IF lets say the grip fits d40/d60 will it autofocus?.. project-o said that there's no sync terminal on d40/d60 to plug the cable in, is that correct?

gosh, played wif my fren's D80 wif sb-600 and prime lens last nite... poisoned kaw-kaw

Would like to put the matter behind. Enjoyed the holiday with first time using DSLR. Even my kids found D SLR fun and easy to use. Camera was superb. especially in low light condition.

If only had 3inch LCD high pixel. would have been perfect.

Beginning to appreciate DSLR i may upgrade it to D90 in near future.
