Bulk started yet?

i m a newbie. i try to install Garmin XT 50040 in my nokia 5800. but during the installation of GarminMoblieXT.sis, there is a msg pop up and said " application not compatible with phone. Continue anyway?". Anyone can help me on this??

Ignore the msg..pretty normal since Garmin just patched the software (based on S60 V3) to be as compartible to 5800 rather than coming out wth a real software written on S60 V5 platform

For me this tube got everything i want such as GPS, wifi, touch screen and it can be a dvd player, just plug the tv out cable and enjoy!
Not sure about the bluetooth. More review refer to FP mate.

anyone having problems like bad reception while using the phone even tough the signal bar is full?mine sometimes happen sometimes doesnt, so how?

That may not be the reception problem. Possible caused by the connection of the speaker that make the sound coming out low and high. Or it is something else happened to your tube?

oi camron my old fren, is time to change la...since de last time u was using W850, i think tis XM version suit u lo...some more with 3.5mm audio output, plus touch screen n GPS, with tis kind of price, where to find wo...

dvd player? where to insert ur dvd? i rather said is media player, jus need to convert ur video to suit file format...

When connected to Bluetooth handsfree, it keeps on disconnected. I tried Itech & china brand, it also keep on disconnected immediately connected.

Just want to share my experience with Nokia Care Center at Sunway, yesterday.

A few weeks ago, my 5800 LCD screen started developing a funny symptom that I'm going to call cold fever.

What would happen is, my screen would have a very pixelated display that you don't know what is what, although it works normally otherwise (plugged to PC suite/phone calls). Just that when this happens you can't type sms because you cannot see, but if you want to navigate your phone, you still can click on (yes/cancel) because of the geographical location and all. Funniest part is it only strikes when I'm in an air conditioned room (office/bedroom).

Even when I want to show the problem to the Nokia Care Center also I can't because I just arrived from my car (which is not that cold).

The care center guy still believed my problem though, and have it checked.

1 hour later, I went to pick it up, they had replaced the LCD with a new one and flashed my symbian to the latest version as well.

They never asked for my warranty card (nowadays it's automatically keyed in with your IMEI) nor my identification.

I suppose that's the good thing with buying original.


A month ago, an acquaintance of mine had a funny LCD display on his 5800 as it would show funny colours. He thought it was part of the 5800 theme but I told him that is not true. He send for a check up (he bought an AP set) and true enough - it was faulty and he waited a week for a new LCD to arrive.

The really very bad news he shared with me: When he picked up his phone, there were other 5800 waiting pickup as well (with LCD problem).

There were 9 other sets!

Fingers crossed, I hope our LCD screen would last at least one year.

If not, on my very last day of warranty I'm going to change my LCD screen again.

only 1 year? then after 1 year the lcd goes kaput again and there is no more warranty. last at least 10 yrs la.

if the rumour is true nokia is going to replace the resistive touchscreen with capacitive touchscreen next mth, for those who have lcd problem could get a free upgrade.

LOL eh i got problem with my garmin, that day can go in but now when i press it got the Garmin loading screen then it comes out to applications menu! HELP!
