need sifus help on this..

just got my iphone fr maxis on friday.. installed itunes, and got some free apps yesterday, everything was fine..

this morning when i plugged in my iphone to my laptop.. got the dreaded blue screen and windows restarts.. tried wif a friend's iphone, also blue screen, but if plug in ipod, it is fine..

so uninstalled itunes.. plugged in... fine.. so i downloaded itunes again, installed and the same blue screen, restart thing happens again!

any idea wut's wrong here.. thanks in advance for any help / feedback.. dilemma here..

need help... i have iphone 3g 16gb unlock set.. firmware is 3.1 and jailbroken.. my problem is since this morning my itunes seems cant detect my iphone.. already restart iphone and computer. currently im using macbook, tried both window and mac but still it cant detect my iphone.. but it still can charge, only the iphone is not there.. is there any other way to solve this? thanks in advance

you need to restore again, try dfu mode

hi guys, im not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyway, i got my iphone 3gs 16gb 2 days ago.
its through maxis and therefore i assume its an unlocked set with the 3.1 firmware.
apple recently came out with a new firmware which is d 3.1.2 firmware which is supposedly able to solve the battery drainage problem and some auto shutdown problem. how true is that?
thats my 1st question

next, if its true is it recommendable if i update it to 3.1.2 and if yes, what are the steps? must i backup ? where do i backup n so on.

If your phone remains not jailbroken, I certainly would advise you to update to the latest FW. I don't know if it really resolves all those issues because it doesn't seem to be much different on mine [except lately, I realised my apps been shutting down on me; I still haven't done any trouble shooting and well blame the apps! *hehe*]

Anyhow, plug your phone into iTunes to download the latest FW. It will ask if you want to just download it or download and install after download is complete. Before u go ahead and install it, do a back up of your i3Gs and all information will be restored as before.

Are we able to copy contacts stored in iPhone to SIM? As far as I'm concerned, it's not possible for a non-JB set. If this can't be done, it's quite dum dum of Apple to make it like that, isn't it =[

Firstly, even if your phone is jailbroken, it is not possible to copy contacts from the phone to SIM.

And, it is intentional on Apple's part not to have that function as they, I believe, want the users to log in to iTunes where you can sync your contacts both ways. The reason is so that you all can browse iTunes and be tempted to purchase some apps whilst you are there. Business thinking people, they are. Neat, right?

I guess it's just so people will keep using the iPhone *grins* I don't know what i'm going to do when I'm going to have to move from iPhone to another kind of phone cause.... cause i have so many contacts it's just going to be almost impossible! For now, at least I don't have that problem

actually the main reason (my own personal speculation) is because most modern phones or PDA nowadays come with full integration with both PC/MAC (more towards PC) and from there you can easily import and export using its own proprietary software (for example outlook).

my point is also further reinforced with the overwhelming success of google and its contacts synchronisation.

hence @ tinkerbel, if you are planning to switch to another manufacturer (provided it is not nokia 3100), you are in safe hands.

heads up; blackberry has recently launched its own MAC compatible synchronisation software after numerous years.

only limited to telephone numbers (when e-mails, IMs now play equivalent vital roles) and a restricted amount of characters for contact names.

So, if we sync contacts using iTunes...it does add those numbers to the SIM...right? Or it does not? Sorry, just needed to confirm in case I read wrongly.
