One more tips if anyone want to slap them from dumb troubleshoot. Tell them that u are using Linux not windows and u will know how dumb their call services. They ask me to to install windows XP first before they can troubleshoot. WTF!!

There was an article about the state of broadband access here in NST Tech&U yesterday. There should have been more complaints about TM.

you guys should STOP posting speedtest on malaysian servers..

we all know that screamyx is the fastest INTRANET for god sake please test using a US or at least a singapore server..

my bro once told me hey i subscribed to a 0.5mbps line and i got like 1.5mbps speedtest result. Then i ask, which server do u use to test? He said KL, i say of coz la screamyx is like you have LAN speed (exxxaaggerateed) all over malaysia, go try SG instead.. and know what? He come up with snail 56k speed which he dare not tell me and kept quiet..

Nothing to be shamed off bro, it's just crappy screamyx laugh.gif we all face the same issue hahah

Of course, they favour office line users because they pay more rather than home users... its just the way TM works.. doh.gif

Nowadays even speedtest.net is not a reliable source for speedtesting since the result takes the average of speed (dl/ul) and gives it the final result. I have a connection meter and the graph says the connection itself is shitty (international server) compared with local server.

What it means is, if its local server, the graph is smooth thus the speedtest's result is valid. Meanwhile, on international server, the graph is f***ed (speedtest result gonna show 100kB/s, speed vary from 0-120kB/s during test).

Thats why you should use other speedtest server to check as well since speedtest.net is UNRELIABLE (unless your testing it locally).

Local:

International:

So it seems even speedtest.net is not displaying the correct result but only showing what the people wants to see (good/excellent speedtest). Since there are no way to choose which filesize to perform the speedtest which can produce more valid result, guess i'll just try somewhere else like http://testmy.net/ instead.
