yesterday still slow for me, dl @ 4kb/s... a 100mb takes me about 5hrs compared to 10 minutes before

then it went slow again to 4kb/s

Lynixx, I strongly do not think that is a wise idea (to ignore than automatically assume termination) - if you choose to ignore, they will still keep your line alive and you might end up with a HUGE BILL and also a LAWYER letter from screamyx.

For termination, go ahead to one of their centres and ask for one. If you are under contract (eg. 1 year), then you have no choice but to bind to that agreement. If your contract had expired, then you are free to terminate (and you might need to give them back the modem as well).

Play by the rules - never by reckless emotions.

we all know that screamyx is the fastest INTRANET for god sake please test using a US or at least a singapore server..

my bro once told me hey i subscribed to a 0.5mbps line and i got like 1.5mbps speedtest result. Then i ask, which server do u use to test? He said KL, i say of coz la screamyx is like you have LAN speed (exxxaaggerateed) all over malaysia, go try SG instead.. and know what? He come up with snail 56k speed which he dare not tell me and kept quiet..

Nothing to be shamed off bro, it's just crappy screamyx we all face the same issue hahah

Hi rajul, why don't you use US servers to test instead?

You need to test for real figures, not figures that 'will' only get you good results.

Try think - how many SG servers do you access when you browse the net or downloads? Most are US servers.. so getting faster speed there doesn't really matters rite?

Anyway, screamyx promised that the speed will come back normal ('on a best effort basis') tomolo.. let's see if they are able to keep their words after 2x failed...

Else i will say screamyx is a liar... or in professional term, not able to deliver up to expectation.

so guys, any improvement in speed yet?

i saw a couple of trucks for the past few days in cyberjaya, got tm sign, deploying / replacing cables or something. Dunno whether that relates or not..

PROXIES DOESN'T SOLVE A THING..

It's like a car with a ruined engine, even if you put an F1 oil or even a rocket oil, it still doesn't perform well.

We are ranting because we paid for the service. And what do we get? a stupid service!

I went to TMNET today - waited for more than half an hour for my call where there was only like 3 customers waiting, all of a sudden every agents at counter were missing like 15 minutes or so.. left all customers there, including customers who are at their desk.. i guess it was their 15minutes break? WTF all in one go? Who's goin to serve the customer?

So i waited and sorted out all infos i need to know in terminating my streamyx account and phone line once and for all. Gave me 2 forms to fill and then says account should be terminated within 3 days after submission.

Which i'm going to do next week.

And I suggest to all screamyx users who had been fooled for so long.. guys and gals. it's time to change, dun care, just change to whatever ISPs that's available in your area - come on, what do you expect more from an ISP who's a LIAR.

Just an update guys, browsing webpage is like on dial up tonight, and worst. Some pages won't even load, and youtube keep on buffering forever....

Appreciate your understanding ablack. Their service is simply pathetic.. It's like you buy a car, the salesman said oh this baby ferrari can go up to 200km/h easy as pie, when you drive, it choke and won't run more than 4km/h (I'm saying this for a 2mbps speed, and able to download 4kb/s max!) - so they say the car doesn't have problems - it's the road, why? Because it's hilly billy or (enter rubbish excuses here) - and still you need to pay for the monthly payment for the farkary every month. WTF?????

Ok Omochao, I don't know you and I don't know your mindset or how long have you been using the internet or exposed to broadband or use it for what... The way you talk is like you're a screamyx insider trying to say it's useless to rant here.. oumind, I am on that 1mbps screamyx.. what do you mean if you were a screamyx user? If you're not, don't ever be! It's nothing but total crap. Even if you're on 1mbps or 368kbps or whatever package, it's the same provider with the same service. And WTF with the proxy again and this " since TM usually has better connection to Singapore than other foreign countries" from what basis did you get this?

the short simple summary, i will abandon screamyx!! there are lots of choices out there like celcom (i know this still under tmnut shell, but at least i heard their service is not too bad), digi, maxis, etc etcs.

Lol.. sorry guys i do not intend to bang yourself personally, esp Omochao - it's just i am really upset how well you guys handle these situations. get another 10000 people like yourself, and other companies will be like scremayx and say dont worry, our customer have lots of "KESABARAN" and are very polite, I'm sure they wont mind us giving them crappy service because we ourselves is in deep shit and we need to cut down their usage because we want our PROFIT to go SKYROCKET this month.. and hey because we did it great last month, why not do it again this month, we can gain 2 million profit easily!
