imm still deciding whether should i spend the extra bucks for the KTA rams or ill just go lowyat and search for those mushkins rams that most of the mac users here are already using it without any error.

i believe some KVR or some other rams can boot up with the mbp but they also give crashes and error? true/false?

and any mushkins ram users here dare to clarify theres no error at the moment?

or KTA is just the way to go? and there goes my money

Just upgraded my mbp13 from 2x1(Samsung) to 2x2G KVR for RM320. Works perfectly, no crashes and boot up time much, much faster. However, with 2x1, the mbp is real temperature cool but 2x2 a bit warmer. Battery life not much affected with HD replaced to WD Scorpio Blue 500G - slight vibration than the original 160G Toshiba.

Guys, I'm not really good with tech stuff even after reading all these.

I have Scorpio Black WD3200BJKT and Scorpio Blue WD3200BEVT (320GB) now,
which one should I put in my MBP ? Have to disable my MBP's sensor if I want to use Black ?

I thought Black has 7200rpm thats why I get it.

You can put any in.
But since your scorpio black has the motion sensor (BJKT) you have to disable the MBP's sensor if you want to use it. Kernel panic's happen because the MBP's sensor is conflicting with the HDD's own sensor.

Then I guess I'll just use the Scorpio Blue, but the thing that caused me from hesitating to change HDD is the trouble / time to transfer create the whole thing like bookmarks in browsers, files arrangement in the new drive.

Any easy way to do that ? I want to put bootcamp and run windows games or else all work I'm gonna die from stress.

mac city has a promotion for upgrading the RAM from 2GB to 4GB for rm 269 or something like that. is that a good deal? because i don't know if i need 4GB since i'm not doing any high-tech stuff. do you think running snow leopard requires 4GB?

2gb is enough for normal usage but it's no harm in upgrading to 4gb.. rm269 is quite reasonable.

1st impression, FAST ! biggrin.gif Just cloned my main drive into my SSD. Gosh, everything is so much snappier. Launching Microsoft Word used to take 8-11 bounce on my previous Western Digital 500GB Scorpio Blue, how about now you ask? It is like opening Safari, just took a second. Photoshop CS4 took 2 sec to launch. Best of all, I can't seem to feel any vibration on my palm-rest area anymore. That may increase of my Battery Life Hopefully?
Played around with Command+A in my Application Folder and launch every App I have. It just took seconds to launch everything. The dock suddenly became super long (without lag). Haha. cool2.gif

SSD Rocks ! laugh.gif
