Sorry I'm new to SSD thingy. 1.8" SSD will not be a drop-in replacement for the HDD. You need to get a SATA to micro-SATA adaptor and the 2.5" case for it too. Yes, you can clone the HDD to SSD and when done, you can just plug in the SSD to replace the HDD.

multiplexer, do you feel the vibration? Somehow, on my old end-2006 MBP, using the same Hitachi 7200rpm/500GB, I couldn't feel it .. but on my mid-2010 .. the vibration is terrible..

All harf drive will vibrate one way or another as you talking about spindle spinning at thousands round per minutes. The reason you don't felt it in the non unibody model is because the inner structure are in separate pieces. Each and every frame/ parts/ screws help to absorb the vibration. On the unibody structure is much minimal and the drive is almost directly attached to the casing, under the palmrest. Hence you will felt the vibration more drastic.

The photo says it all... If it is hardware RAID (RAID card), then you need to refer to the manufacturer about the support.

You can shake our Macs too, olivur. No harm done, since it's SSD. Look Ma, no moving parts!

I wanna ask all taikor here...I wonder why JEDEC shown in CPU-Z that my Slot 1 which is a new module that i just install today had 4 JEDEC .. and my Slot 2 which is previously install module only have 3 Jedec shown ?? any different in terms of performance or anything else?? should i replace the old one with another new module?? Noted that : Both using 2GB 1066Mhz Kingston Module.. as my MB Core2Duo 2.4Ghz only support Max 4GB which left me no choice but only install max 4GB ( THIS PROBLEM SPOTTED ON WINDOW VISTA ULTIMATE )
ANY DIFFERENT BETWEEN THIS 2 ???
