You can run up to 2560x1440 on the U271I although the  2011 Mini can only output that kind of resolution over Thunderbolt, so you'll have to find a Thunderbolt-to-DVI adapter to use with the U2711. Otherwise, it's 1920x1200 over HDMI, which is plenty. RM2699 for the U2711.

you could also use a thunderbolt to displayport cable (or rather mini dp to full dp cable) correct? because iirc the u2711 has a full dp port.

Previously, i had install 2GB x 1 and 1GB x 1 ...thats why 3GB...

But today i already upgrade the 1GB stick to 2GB thats why total of 4GB of ram...but still in window show me 3GB of ram

But in OSX it shows me, i got 4GB of ram which is fine for me...Thats why i wondering why windows only show me 3GB of ram instead i got 4GB plug-in since 32Bit windows support 4GB ram ... hmm.gif

I stand corrected. Yes it does. After checking the back of mine, it is a DP cable.

osx is a 64 bit .. well os. while your windows is currently 32bit. it'll only utilize up to 3gb of ram.

I too have the "bleh" kinda vibe from Dell, but for the buck, I got lotsa bang. I could pick a more renown (not necessarily better) brands like NEC Multisync or HP Dreamcolor models, but their prices are cost-prohibitive.

ditto. but i myself can't deny the fact that for cost effectiveness, dell topples the rest. if only samsung would update their hi-res lineups soon.

i too have to agree that Dell is never in any list considered a Bling Factor...but the prices are very encouraging!
i was thinking the price is 1k+ for the 27"...but at 2299...
i might as well stretch a bit for the Thunderbolt! =D
but...
there's always a but...
the Thunderbolt display can only be connected to 1 Mac! doh.gif
So basically if i take the thunderbolt display...i can consider throwing away my WIndows PC! =(

Any other good monitor suggestions for 1920 x 1200?
Or any monitor with Dual DVI-D will make me very happy!

Added on September 29, 2011, 7:30 amOh damn me!
I m looking at the Dell website now and they have the 1920x1200 with 2 DVI-D ports! sweat.gif
BUT....
the price is almost like the 27"! doh.gif

This is not good!

it might be old but it isn't exactly cap ayam..it's just that you're trying to connect a well, pc (or mac) to a tv! tongue.gif) anyways, is the current hdmi cable you're using >2m long? there're two things you could try that'd be more cost efficient.

1. trying a better grade hdmi cable, a good 1m belkin cable would cost you around rm90~ or so.

2. hdmi to dvi or vga plug head! (usually comes free with asus gpu's, not too sure about other brands

i'd recommend trying the second route and ghettoing it out first. don't rush on getting a new monitor, imo.

just registered to help you guys out as I once had a similar problem connecting a windows pc to my p2370hd, its in the settings of the monitor:
In the menu --> input --> sources --> select HDMI and then press extra and set the HDMI device name to pc, this way the monitor doesn't apply overscan and the image should be normal.

hope this can help you

QUOTE
Thank you very much! The settings were different from mine, but I think the main problem was the monitor being set to AV instead of PC. I changed this, and now the clarity is much clearer!

That's significantly cheaper than when I bought mine. I was so excited to pick up mine, I went to Shah Alam to self collect myself. Trust me, it's awesome.
