Erm so far there ain't anyone having an issue with KVR ( not as far as I know of )

But guess to make me feel more secured I would go for the KTA

not everyone would pay for the premium price.
even Corsair have Apple Certified rams, around the same price as KTA ohmy.gif

Buy 4x 4gb KVR ram from lowyat to install on Imac 21.5". Didn;t seem to have any problem and for some reason, I think 16gb ram does perform well with Mac .

just a quick advice to those who own mid-2010 13" macbook pro (Intel Core 2 Duo; P8600-Penryn) and plan to upgrade the RAM to 8GB (2x4GB)...

when i went and bought the RAM, I assumed that all SODIMM DDR3 ram will work on this machine, so i've bought 2 pieces of 4GB KVR1333D3S9... it was a no-go.

i've found out this specific mbp will not accept DDR3 with higher or lower clock speed than the default 1066MHz... in other word, don't buy any brand of ram (KVR/KTA/Crucial/whatever) that is not clocked at 1066MHz....

luckily for me i was able to downclock the ram to the required 1066MHz,

Need to upgrade my mid-2010 MBP 15" i5 and someone is selling a dual-channel Corsair 8GB DDR3 1333. I know the standard RAM uses DDR 1066, so before buying, can anyone advice that it will work okay on the mid-2010 MBP? The model of the RAM is CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9, the guy is selling it for RM200. It seems that Corsair has Apple certified SODIMM RAM for a little bit more.

you'll need to find a pair of 1gb DDR2-667 notebook rams. but 2gb max is just the official limit, apparently some managed to install 2x2gb without problems. based on czone pricelist, a kingston 1gb stick is rm47 and 2gb is rm75. i suggest you to go to a pc shop and ask them to try install for you before buying. most shops should still have DDR2, if they dont have 667mhz u can try 800mhz too

performance improvement for RAM upgrade greatly differs from machine to machine. it really depends on ur usage. if u dont do a lot of high memory stuff, then u wont see any difference
