Maximum according to apple recommendation is 8gb. You may purchase kvr 4gb 1333, no issue. I just bought corsair 2x4gb Corsair 1333. Very cheap.

If you want to have ssd+hdd, you may neet to replace your superdrive with the Optibay. You can find it at garage sales. Price is less than RM100 if im not mistaken. You may use sata III ssd. I'm using Intel 80gb 320. And dont forget to enable TRIM after installed.

@x-199Tx

it's easy bro. All you need to do is to find the suitable screw driver and open the bottom case. Still in doubt? you still can refer to youtube video to change the RAM.

Hi!

I am also planning to upgrade my MBP 2009 (Intel Core 2 Duo) to 8gb RAM. But was told to use Apple Certified rams...which cost way much more.....can I use the above Kingston ram that you mentioned?

How much are you getting those for? I will be installing it myself, a friend showed me how to do it with the Philips screw to open the back cover, just Youtube it and you'll get a step-by-step instruction.

Thanks!

im not sure if your model supports but if I'm right there are forumers

doing that on your model .

KTA-MB1333/4G x 2 @ RM230

That's the model I'm buying and at that price from '' Hikari85 ''

A reputable seller with great price . RM10 for postage unless you

are from Penang or they have a distribution office somewhere jalan imbi

if I'm right .

But though now Raya , waiting patiently until GedEX open then he ship out

You should be comparing KTA and KVR...

get it from Jayacom, they let me try and gave me 14 days to test it.
if it doesn't work perfectly in the 14 days they would have gave me a refund.
but it turns out to be working fine rclxms.gif
