Hi, this might've been covered many many times before! so sorry to ask again.

Is there a specific HDD that is used when I want to swap my current 250gb to a 500gb one? Using a MacBook late 08/09. The version before those new 13inch MBP range.

I've just been quoted 900 to swap it at machines.....is that "normal" pricing?

feedback appreciated!

I thought so too, eyes almost popped out when they replied me.

Where is a good alternative place to get it upgraded apart from Machines?

I know many would say DIY but i am no techy person as most guys would be. Hahaha

thanks!

RM900 can get you a decent SSD already. Now you all know why Machines is everywhere. laugh.gif

Maybe I should start charging that way to afford a premium store.

Saw it on the seagate forum.

@selvenz,

What about a 1TB HDD 2.5", plus a 2X4GB RAM combo? What's your opinion on this?

If u looking for bigger storage..it will be good. But the 1TB is only Samsung got right? and hard to find

For speed, performance and little sacrify on storage, 500gb momentusXT.

If U want to tweak out max, SSD + 500gb momentusXT/750gb on optibay. Understand samsung 1TB had problem fix into optibay..

Correct me if I am wrong
