Old models use nvidia.
All new mac models are using ati

any reason why u must have an nvidia card? cuda?
*
PhysX probably. Or because I'm complete noob when it comes to Ati gfx.
Mine's using the HD6490 right now.
How good does it handle for newer games in windows? (It's dual booted with Win7 btw)

I believe it's because the dispute between intel and nvidia last time.
Correct me if I'm wrong
*
Really? But Alienware is still using Intel with nvidia.

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Jul 17 2011, 09:21 PM)
i think the dispute was about nvidia chipsets, not GPUs. i think laaa ;P

btw the 1st gen MBP used ati radeon x1600. only the 2nd gen started to use nvidia 7600gt. now back to ati once again
*
hmm.. still does my 6940 gives good performance for newer games?
I don't want to spend cash for an AW =.=
