QUOTE(yyun09 @ Oct 12 2011, 02:53 PM) Hi, Any idea whether the MAS check in counter opens 24 hours? We'll be arriving at KLIA from BKK at 0040hrs 21/10, and for us to check-in to the hotel, we need to get international boarding pass. However our flight time is 1400hrs 21/10. How early can we check in? If check in already, can drop the luggage only after I check out from the Airside hotel? Bit blur 'cos it's been 10 years since i depart/arrive @ KLIA due to using Airasia frequently. Anyone can advise on this? Thanks Not forgetting to mention, you can check-in your bags 1 hour before flight time if you've already used the self check-in system.

Can't really help you here as I didn't try out Airside before. I always just crash on the long benches in the airports, KLIA is one of them.
Here's a tip, don't email, try calling or go direct to the offices or ask them at the airport. Although e-mails are fast, sometimes the replies are really slow for even big companies.

Actually why compare a low-cost carrier with a full-fledged one? I use AA as well but then, now it's like comparing "Hilton to Tunes".

QUOTE(Digifriend07 @ Jul 24 2013, 02:35 PM) Yup, actually aware of that, no direct to Liverpool, but to Heathrow airport. Best if could direct to Liverpool, but price is my major concerned. Anyone here always travel to UK before. Would like to know range of airfare that could consider as a catch... Transit? If you don't mind, there are a lot of other choices out there that can be chosen with the correct "click" in the correct time. Well, if you want to pay premium, that's up to you as well.

Already book but need more info mas by wch5274, on Flickr What does it mean by : 1) Go Show - International for fee, demestic : Not allowed 2) Canx/refund before dep - for a fee 3) Canx/refund after dep - for a fee Thanks, really noob here.. @bex - 1. Go show - You showed up in the airport, checked in and stuff but ended up not being able to go due to issues like passport issue and etc, a refund can be made for a certain fee for international flights but not domestic. 2. Cancellation/refund before departure - For a certain fee, they will charge you based on what they calculated. 3. Cancellation/refund after departure - same answer as 2. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Apr 3 2014, 09:15 AM) Hi forumers, want to know by what time need to reach KLIA for domestic flight, how many minutes/hours. First time flying with MAS, can do online check-in and just show up 30 minutes at airport then board? Just hand carry luggage.. sorry for noob question. Thanks!! QUOTE For passengers to international or regional destinations with or without check-in baggage, please be present at the MAS Check-in or Rework Counter NOT LATER than 60 minutes to departure for travel documents verification and web check-in boarding pass endorsement.
You are advised to arrive early at the check-in counter to ensure you have enough time for travel document verification and web check-in boarding pass endorsement, baggage check-in, security, immigration process and other airport formalities Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to cancel your check-in if you have not endorsed your web check-in boarding pass in time, or if you fail to arrive at the departure gate in time, or if you do not have the valid travel documents. Here you go. Still, it would be wise to go earlier. Let's say 45 minutes earlier at least. That is cutting it really close there too. This post has been edited by digitalz: Apr 3 2014, 12:53 PM

QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Apr 3 2014, 01:06 PM) Thanks for the info! Had wanted to ask some info about KLIA transit but found it here: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Catching a flight at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)?
Avoid the airport rush and check in at KL Sentral instead. Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways provide city centre check-in service which is offered exclusively to KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit passengers. You only need to have a valid train ticket to use the facility.
Flight Check-In at KL Sentral
For flight check-in at KL Sentral, proceed to the KLIA Ekspres Departure Hall, located within the KL City Air Terminal. When you check in your luggage and collect your flight boarding pass at KL Sentral, your luggage will be tagged to your destination and automatically transferred to your flight at KLIA. You are now free to squeeze in last-minute errands or shopping in the city before boarding your train for the airport!
The minimum check-in time is 2 hours before your flight departure time (or 1½ hrs for domestic flights without checked baggage). Please check with your airline directly for counter operation hours and check-in time requirements. Baggage allowance is as per your airline policy.
Check-in time. Since you have already done your check-in online, there should not be any issues after you have checked-in. Just proceed to your gate as usual.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jan 16 2015, 08:13 AM) RM317 from kk(sabah) to bangkok and kk to phnom penh the BKK seem worthed because previously its RM398/399...now RM317 but phnom penh...i found out if i buy separately, KK to KL thn KL to phnom penh is only RM691 2 way compared to RM789(together)...but with longer transit time kk to siem reap - RM619 2 way while AA 1 way - RM458(promo price)...LOL.. When are you going? Previously, when I booked for return last year was approx 500+ but then 1 week later it was only 300+ ~.~ And that was approx 1 month before I fly as all my trips are quite random and unplanned.

QUOTE(moosset @ Dec 4 2015, 08:53 PM) I thought insurance is automatically included? AA has to pay separately, but I expected everything is included for a national airline. If you think about what happened to MH370, do you think MAS only pay those who bought insurance?? I think they pay all. Its optional for MAS. Not compulsory.

QUOTE(alexkos @ May 31 2018, 03:35 PM) Emergency... My domestic flight at 5.30pm later... It says boarding 4.30pm.... Unfortunately I can only reach klia by 430pm....do u think I M possible to make it? Still got 1 luggage. Did web check in. But I think I still need a printed ticket which I don't have now... Urgent Your luggage might not make it. Don't need printed ticket. Use app. I always use app. I think I need to explain a bit more. You'd still need to go to counter, need to Q, unless priority etc. Thus, even if you can make it, your luggage might not. This post has been edited by digitalz: May 31 2018, 04:06 PM
